Im sorry, but paying nearly 50.000€ for a small car like this is actually insane. In what times do we live in?

Could you design & make a car like this for less? Perhaps if the car was made in China? We need design and manufacturing in Europe, don't we? Compared to cars just twenty years ago, modern cars are very efficient and safe.

It's so not about "could we?", because obviously it's not our job, but it's much more about "must they? Yes, definitely". They really have to propose cheaper electric cars. More than 45k for a segment C car, is 15k too much. On which planet are they living? If they plan to save the European market with just the new e-C3 or the Dacia Spring (erk), as the only affordable options, they have their ostriches heads way deep in the ground. When mid next year, the Chinese or Korean models will rule the private or business lease market, maybe then, maybe, they will start to understand.

It's not exactly a small car when it can fit 4 to 5 people comfortably. At some point we also have to support European products if we want our industry to survive. Many Chinese brands can build cheaper and have been focusing on electric drivetrains only for years. All of the established car manufacturers are still transitioning and therefore still have to offer internal combustion engines as well. Hence the cars are made to accommodate both types of propulsion, making the EV version a compromise from its very conception. In Addition factory have to be retooled to make electric motors, battery factories have to be set up, legal issues, negotiations with unions etc etc. It all costs a lot of money and time. Take a holistic approach to the subject and support your local economy. 😊

@@MotorScotti Yeah Im sorry but I don't see how I should literally gift the multi-billion-dollar-company Stellantis 10-20k more of my own hard earned money to support these poor souls. It's the fault of European hybris that they're falling behind so much and that they fail to provide payable vehicles for the masses. 80% of the people don't need fancy ambient lighting and messaging leather seats. The reason everyone does it anyway is that you can't extract as much revenue from cars outside the luxury category. If they don't care about me as a customer, I don't care about them as a company.

@@lowe8270 True and yeah it's sad that we need to pay that ridicules amount of money, but if you look at the market for example a BMW costs already 10.000€ more and a Golf GTI (a Golf you know) will set you back with a decent package that is tasteful for about 50.000€ plus, not to talk about a Golf R or something like that, and Audi RS3 is already over 70.000€ and it's a sort of hatchback and the the funny thing is that these cars don't offer anything really new or groundbreaking in terms of suspension setup new materials being used in a significant way. The most that the buyers are paying for is the bling and the technology under the hood and the underbody (aka mechanically) not a lot has changed.

I really like your reviews. I notice that you like so much this car. Me too. But I also like Model 3 RWD (single motor). If you could choose between these 2 cars for the comfort and pleasure to drive, which car would you choose?

Gee 170kph top speed - my 2012 308 had a top speed of 200kph+. I also notice that many reviewers drive at a quarter to three. The steering wheel is designed to drive at ten to two. Still love the 308 - great driver's car.

Peugeot did a good job with power delivery system in the car. In many EV's if we press the accelerator pedal the car goes very fast and gets out of control very quickly. In this e-308 the power delivery is very similar to a 150Hp ICE car so its easy to control the throttle input. Most EV's should have power delivery like this peugeot, even high performance EV's should have option to limit Hp while using in city so while parking the car if we slightly press the accelerator pedal the car won't lurch forward uncontrollably.

For that price you have a lot of better options and better build. You can buy a low mileage C Klass 2020 with many options with the same amount of money.
