I think I’ll stick with the breeders . You can’t find a hunting dog or guard dog at the shelter lol. If you have a big property and want Cane corso’s on the perimeter for protection you can’t just go and adopt one or 2 from a shelter Julie .

I’d people stop breeding the pet industry will die out within 5-10 years. Americans need pets, in 1-3 year most animals will be adopted. Then what? I can’t stand the “adopt don’t shop” narrative, how about let’s properly regulate and train breeders so they’re not producing poorly bred pups so we don’t kill the entire pet industry by not reproducing well bred dogs.

Adoption is becoming tougher for the safety of the pet and very necessary. If the shelter thinks you cant provide a good home for a pet, they have good reasons. Expect background checks and screening.

Adoption is not hard? If they deem you unqualified for that particular dog then you are unqualified to have that particular dog. I have been denied for a particular dog, and at that same place I went with another dog and I am so glad I did. My second dog at a different rescue was completely free.

They worried about animals more than the human trafficking that goes on in the city. You see it on a daily basis, including minors, but they prefer going after people harm animals or put animals in any kind of harm or uncomfortable situations because that’s priority. Over human trafficking, including minors.

Journalism efforts suffered here as well..Merle was not the name but rather a sought after trendy color. Furthermore the dog was not being sold for that price, that was clearly a stud fee. And the dogs going for that price indicate that they will never be at an animal shelter. Mismanaged dogs have accidents in kennels, poor attempt to grasp at straws. If the home has horses and chickens they likely have the capacity for their high value dogs that you are attempting to aid and abet a corrupt effort to steal, all so Ms Karen at the shelter and her soccer mom friends can line up to get their Frenchie. Poor shock report that appeal to the lowest common denominator of intellect

Yup……this is why I don’t spend $2,500 on a dog…because this is where they come from……..breeders should be licensed and all puppies sold should come with a health certificate from the vet saying the puppy or kitten your buying is healthy 😮

Most people can’t afford a pet. Remember back in the day people had numerous pets. Not now you need to have pet insurance or a lot of money just to have one pet. So between the bad people who are greedy and make money off of poor dogs. Then they try to genetically make all these crazy types of dogs I never heard of. Now all the old breed types are not wanted. Sooo sad. What a mess we have become.

Aside from the fees and reporting taxes, are required annual inspections, limit of 3 unaltered for breed, and other rules. Lake Meade Blvd/ Lamb Blvd is NOT out in the "country" but still suburb of Las Vegas. Bet you have pathetic excuse for their drug charges too.
