Doesn't house of the dead 4 need a cmos gun/sensor setup? I remember trying to get crisis zone setup outside the original cab and had all sorts of problems because the sensor was not in exactly the right place. Cool hardware though, interesting to see the setup inside.

On the Star Horse 2 Naomi thing: gonna lean on the Japanese Wikipedia here, as I don't know much about those machines and games personally, but the article about the game says that it runs on original (=customized) but Lindbergh-based hardware. Might explain why there's two CF cards as opposed to a HDD and why it looks "hacked"? Also, are there really people who put DC/Naomi emulators on x86-based machines to run them in arcades?

@lukemorse1 So my friend actually sold that board recently, but he gave me some info. The kits usually consist of just a DVD disc and dongle. To play HOTD4 you will need the HOTD4 guns and hardware to be able to run the game. As long as the color is the same (HOTD4 is yellow) then you should be fine running a different game on it. The dongles don;t marry the board as far as I have been told so buying a used kit would be okay, but the hardware is your biggest issue.

@lukemorse1 inward to me means goes inside the system, while outward to me means goes towards the ceiling... it looks outward to me but either way it doesn't change the fact star horse 2 is on it and everywhere I look it only mentions any star horse games as Naomi Hardware so this may have parts on it of the Lindbergh but it's obviously a hack job between the 2 systems Naomi and Lindbergh. Very Rare Find! Good Job!

Pretty cool Maybe it's just me, but from a hardware point of view these x86 systems are really uninteresting. Just a gaming PC basically, nothing out of the ordinary. I wanna to see some crazy unique custom design lol

also I think that star horse 2 (which from what i've read is also known as star horse 2002 because star horse 1 is from 2001) is a Hacked Version because Star Horse 1 and 2 is only known for being on the Sega Naomi Hardware. it's weird you got star horse 2

Very awesome. Oddly enough my friend just got(?) one of these systems as well. His was running HOTD4. This beast is pretty much a mystery to me unlike the Konami Computer Boards.
@TheNews199012 жыл бұрын
@lukemorse1 I also think this is a hacked system because the dent on the case is outward on yours inward on all the pictures with a sticker in the dent saying Lindbergh (also the name is pronounced Lind Berg like Charles Lindbergh) where the 2nd cf card is by the fan usually is a hard drive like how killer instinct does with the game running off of it.

Verrry nice! I remember reading all about this back in 2006. I was excited about a potential rejuvenation of arcades in north america, as this came out right around the time the PS3 launched and shortly after Xbox 360's launched. Plus the hardware specs were quite impressive for its time. I really really miss walk-in arcades. Do you think they'll ever become big in Canada or USA again?

@lukemorse1 No problem. The EZ2DJ machine is about as rare as it gets. There is only one other person in the U.S. that owns a machine besides me. The whole project has been very interesting and a TON of work, and after I get the stuff mailed to me all I need to is to get the monitor chassis fixed and I'll be good to go. I'll send you a message whenever my friend gets back to me instead of replying to this video.

@lukemorse1 Ya I'll let you know about the rest of the details soon. He told me he'll let me know more after he takes a look at this video and the stuff I already posted.

Holy crap Luke. How did you get ahold of this? This is beyond awesome.
@TheNews199012 жыл бұрын
i've been looking at these since this video got up luke... from the websites i've seen you technically don't need anything to run the system. that being said to run the game you need a new security chip unless there is one provided with the game you buy. the sound can have a extra sound card but that's for optical sound, there is a built in 5.1 sound card on your mainboard. as for the game all i see is it uses a dvd drive to update the video bios but the game it's self is those cf-flash cards.

lukemorse1 is a closet millionaire. There's just no other way of explaining how he gets all this cool gear.

Hopefully once you get that JVS stuff in for it, it'll help you get the Konami ones up and running too. Hey, maybe then you could even use it as an excuse to make a short video comparing JVS to JAMMA. Because as far as I know, the main difference is basically just adding that $100 I/O board to gain a few more buttons that are rarely used.

@lukemorse1 Compact Flash isn't very compact in today's standards anyway...it not as widely used as SD/MicroSD so its easy to forget, only reason I remember it is b/c I have one on my computer desk somewhere LOL
@omg_kon12 жыл бұрын
@lukemorse1 Ya I can ask him about it. His is a yellow one just like yours, and I know at least in the cases for the games it had a security dongle (the one pointed out in your video) and a DVD disc. I am really hoping that once the dongle is used that it's not attached to the single board like some of the Konami stuff. I'll throw you a message when he gets back to me.
