Somebody's willing and OR dumb enough to buy it otherwise there wouldn't be a market for it . They are trying to get piece of the pie that cummins has . The big question is does CAT have enough confidence in their small engines to pass EPA standards to put it in this truck or are they going to use a International engine ? It's hard to buy a Cat pickup using a Cat Engine with confidence when you consider they got out of the on road semi truck engine business because they couldn't meet EPA guidelines .

Doubt it will come to Australia. These things already cost $150000 after conversion in OZ. They also have limited use in trade work as they are too high, carry very little, so you need to tow a large tandem trailer and can be a pain in the arse on job sites. Towing, yes, good alternative. But an Isuzu tray back is miles cheaper and can carry much more for trade work. These things are nice weekend show ponies or towing horse floats or large caravans. Very macho, though.

They should just make them diesels. Non-hybrid should be an inline 6. Hybrid model should be a diesel electric. It runs a skid steer diesel engine that can change idle rom low to high idle and let the electric motors do the work.

Just like anything new, it's gotta go through it's ups and downs. Something will be break down and the only way to get it fixed is to go to a caterpillar dealership which means they can make whatever maintenance cost they want. So no they can have that 😒

Hey Cat...how about making an actual utilitarian work truck. Less fluff with interior. Keep it basic. A seat, sterring wheel, guages not idiot lights, a radio, and a freaking ash tray and cigarette lighter. Then put an actual 8 ft usable bed on it.

have to say Cat really knocked this one out of the park with a truck that can raise its chassis to clear obstacle's and i have always loved how dam tough their equipment was designed to handle the harshest terrain and conditions. and they have always been on the cutting edge on tech you get into any of their heavy equipment and you swear your getting into a space shuttle so glad to see they are doing the same on the pick up truck.
