Good job done . Do you need to rotate it by 180 degrees and raise it above ground by 20cm . Good luck .

I would think of anchoring the loft some how in case of high winds..

You could eventually use the loft for fancy pigeons or even your chooks
@ManeyPigeons2 жыл бұрын
yeah i built it so it has another function when i eventually save up enough for a big loft :)
@haroonhidayat2 жыл бұрын
I think u should plan a complete loft that u want at some poimt in future and start working bit by bit on it like every loft has 3 to 4 portions for yb old birds breeding birds... that way u will get new loft builds and eventually a complete loft... making lofts like these and then removing them and making more is i think waste of money and other resources... what u think

Do they need heat lamp in winter ?

I find using iron sheet in NY it keeps birds scorching hot in summer and freezing cold in winter. Wood is best insulator against heat or cold. Im building my new loft within few days and that loft would be wood only. Even in Australia iron sheet loft will keep your birds hot during the summer. It might be problem for new hatch. I’m just saying. You know much more than me.
@ManeyPigeons2 жыл бұрын
You are right summer here is hot in my area thats why i aim to have all breeding done beforw those few months where it is 100 df. but wood is good but also a fire risk in my area, so its really a trade off

This might be a question from the uneducated Kurt, but there seems to be a lack of visual stimulation in your new loft for the birds…..Not for bird to bird vision but rather external vision for their stimulation, or is that not a requirement for pigeons?

You should fit wire inside as fox can’t get in the way you fixed it on outside he will pull it off and get in on the inside he can’t
@ManeyPigeons2 жыл бұрын
i thought about both ways even the other he can push inwards, so i put it outside with more screws to hold it in place
