New Pill to REPLACE PPIs???

Do you have GERD (acid reflux) or Erosive Esophagitis? Are you currently on a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) and don't feel like it works? If so, this video may help you learn about a new medicine for these problems.
Based on scientific studies, Vonoprazan was recently approved by the FDA. Mainly, it was found to be effective in helping symptoms of Erosive Esophagitis, but is thought to potentially help patients who suffer from GERD, and aid in the treatment of H. pylori.
So lets explore the new drug Vonoprazan - how does it work, how is it different from a PPI, is it better than a PPI, what are its side effects, what conditions is it thought to help treat, which patients may it provide more help for, and is it safe?
Are doctors concerned to start a new drug right after it is FDA approved? Let me explain my thought process and I'll let you know when and if I will be using Vonoprazan.

What about the risk of dementia? With proton inhibitors after using for long-term.

My Son had EOE enochinaphil esophagus. He took Omperzole for a couple years. Didn't seem to heal his inflammation, & reflux. (he must be the 20%) Once he started the miracle drug Dupixent. No more EOE! Thank God!
