NEW Pirates Ride Scenes at Disneyland 2018 - Full Pirates ride through

[4K] FULL Pirates of the Caribbean Ride with New scenes at Disneyland. There's no longer Davy Jones mist projection instead there's now a cool split skeleton/pirate special effect with octopus below it. The auction scene in Pirates the ride has also been updated as well.
In the beginning of the video, guests can now meet a new roaming character name Redd from the Pirates ride in and around New Orleans square at Disneyland.
You can also find that the auction scene has also been updated at Disneyland Paris and Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World as well.

Fast Forward Videos I think it's just half of a skeleton against a mirror and on the other side of that mirror is half of a static pirate wax figure against another mirror. A rather simple effect used in the current Journey into Imagination with Figment ride at Epcot. At least I think that is how it works.

I was in the Navy and Clifton an IC man and I rented a car at Miami International airport. We proceeded to Disney World for the whole day! This the best ride! Although when we returned to the ship the Challenger orbiter exploded and America had it's first space shuttle catastro- phe! We did not participate in the recovery, although other ships did! It was a terrible end to the magic kingdom escape, but life goes on...

That skeleton effect is unbelievable! I don't think anyone minds this upgrade from the misty Davy Jones effect, the improvement is obvious. and I'm really happy with the revamping of the auction scene! The new props and costumes are colourful and look fantastic, and Redd is a great replacement for her classic, yet aging, predecessor. The scene still fits well with the story but is now more universally appealing. Walt Disney said that Disneyland would never be completed, that it would keep growing and changing to welcome new generations of guests, and these changes seem like a good step in that direction. The whole ride has come out of renovations looking like new!

Redd is beautiful. Sorry I didn't get a chance to have my photo with her in October 2018 which was 3️⃣ years ago. It was too hot outside when I went down to Anaheim, CA with my parents. We got there by driving. Flying there takes 1️⃣ hour to get there and the TSA won't let you carrying a case of water onboard which is a shame in reality.

People on here seem to be forgetting about the existence of actual female pirates throughout history. For example: Pirate queen Grace O'Malley or Malika Fadel Ben Salvador, or Anne Bonny and Mary Read. All four of the aforementioned women pirates were very well respected by their male peers and/or subordinates. Thing is, there is a clash between the Ride Purists and the SJWs because both sides either forgot about the real female pirates or they simply chose to ignore them for the sake of their argument. And I'm the truly moderate amateur historian caught in the crossfire.

The Davey Jones effect? Eh. I always liked the spooky and ominous voices they had in the pitch black corridor before (which is what they brought back now). The transition pirate is cool but the fact that the brought back the original voices warning you of the cursed treasure is neat. The projection waterfall effect was too bright IMO.

I don't take issue with the fact that they replaced the old auction scene. Pirates had plunder auctions just as often as (if not more often than) slave sales. The problem I do have is that, while the old auction was a centerpiece in the otherwise rather repetitive second half of the ride, the new one just sort of mushes in. The new redhead (who is a brunette actually) has clunky dialogue and movements that are just about as good. The new scene tied so hard to be exciting that it became a low(ish) point of the ride. That all said, I really love the Davey Jones replacement. I always hated the fake waterfall and its very obvious curtains. The octopus is really fluid too! (wish I could say the same about Redd the brunette) I do think that the old pirate's dialogue is a bit less ominous than it should be. I honestly don't know why they didn't go with the chicken auction but with the pirates yelling "we wants the redhead". Then she could shoot at them and make the whole objectifying women point more pirate-ey. Oh well. The original ride sort of died when Jack came in, so any new change is just piled on top of that.

The split Skeleton/Pirate effect should have been the only alternation in 2018, I also love Paul Frees' dialogue. Also maybe they could remove Jack in the town sequences, and bring back how those latter scenes were in 1997. Tho they could keep him at the end of the ride.

I recently went with a hardcore Disney fan to the park and he was upset with the female pirate. He was saying there should be nothing wrong with how it was before. They're pirates and thats what pirates would. I said, if he wants a realistic pirates, maybe they should all hobble around from the rickets that affected the bones of malnourished seaward travellers, as well as a horrible stench caused by the smegma build up of the many unwashed dicks due to fresh water being a limited resource out at sea. I don't go to Disney for realistic pirates

It looks as if there's a mirror that slices through the center of the face. On the left side of the mirror it reflects the skeleton half twice, making it look like a full skeleton. On the right, it does the same for the human head. You can kind of see a seam in the sternum and in the guy's nose. Very clever!

Loving how much people are getting the knickers in a twist over animatronic robot that was displaying a scene that is not appropriate. Selling women (or anyone for that matter) no matter what is unacceptable to serve as entertainment. Your kids will never know that it was any different and they will treasure the experience regardless. Do you know how many rides, experiences, etc that they've changed over the last 60 years in the park? WHO CARES - it's their park and those that complain are still giving them all their money. Plus the new scene is really boring, and not cheeky or memorable at all. The previous scene was layered (the Redhead had quite the sly look on her face - you had to wonder whether she was a femme fatale or if she was basking in her control over the lusts of the men), twisted, and the lines were a total riot. Yet another one of those changes that only served to devolve the experience.

1. It’s to add back the Cursed narration back in 2. The skeleton was a man caught in a trap and it’s showing a transition from the cave to the town showing you’re going back in time 3. I would assume the octopus is from an unused Marc Davis piece
