I have the Pisicifun Allejos 300 size reel and have fished it hard for snook for over a year and I have been really surprised with how well it casts as well as the drag. I take care of it and it’s a great reel for the price. This is the only off brand I would buy

Awesome review... I agree with you... This will be an awesome reel if it can withstand the test of time... I like the fact that you were unbiased in your approach... Noted the pros and the cons and actually tapped on the price point options that are available... I have the Piscifun Phantom reel which I use for Bass fishing... And have caught a few decent fish with it... So far it hasn't let me down or broke down yet... I understand why you would prefer the Piscifun brand over the Kastking brand... And I totally agree with you... Thanks for the awesome content...

I bought this reel after seeing an ad on Facebook. I knew nothing about this company and none of my fishing buddies or their friends have ever owned a piscifun. I bought it because it was PURDY! I spooled it with 8# mono and texas rigged a 4" stick bait on a 3/0 hook. I lubricated the spool bearings and adjusted the magnetic brake and went out to the backyard and made a cast. The first cast went 38 yards. The second cast went 42 yards. The spool had zero overrun during the cast so I dialed the brake down 1 click and the third cast went 45 yards. Since there wasn't any wind that day I waited until the next day to make a cast into the wind. The next day with a 9 mph wind I made a cast and it went 32 yards with a little overrun. On my first fishing trip at my buddies farm pond I caught 38 bass (2 over 6 #). I am impressed with this $69.99 reel. It is lightweight, excellent casting distance, super smooth, and has an excellent drag. I highly recommend this reel.
@TackleAdvisors4 жыл бұрын
Those are some big numbers! As far as distance is concerned. And this chinesium winch is an excellent caster. No unique designs in the brake as it's a simple mag carriage that's been used for a long time. Spool proportions are excellent as well. Assuming tolerances remain true in manufacturing over time I'd think it'll prove reliable. I've heard good things about their products... I've also heard bad... So far this one is all good.

This reel is great I've had it for a little over a year and I would highly recommend it, still super smooth casts better then my abu Garcia, I always take apart clean and lube my reels after I get back from fishing so maybe that is part of why I like this reel it's super easy to take apart.

Also, can't blame all these companies for coming out of the woodworks with these Chinese reels - many of which are very acceptable tools for the money they are asking for. They are usually the un-named factories that produce reels for our beloved "brand names" that later decide they wanna cut out the middle man and try their own chances at marketing. Even if I never end up buying one of these budget reels, I can appreciate them for the sole fact that they are lighting a fire under the butts of Shimano/Daiwa/Abu/etc and keeping them on their toes. Competition is always good and breeds innovation one way or another

I have the Piscifun Phantom baitcasting reel. Been fishing it 3-4x a week since the summer(it's now Halloween) & after some reel oil lube to the various bearings, I have zero complaints. I paid $69 from Amazon(as of this date, the Spark is $40). Before purchasing I read a breakdown article where a guy disassembled it side-by-side with an Abu Garcia Revo-something & there were parts in the Revo that were plastic, while the exact same parts in the Phantom were made of metal. Fishing with 15lb PowerPro braid, caught tons of fish(mainly walleyes & northern pike[see channel!], now targeting largemouth & smallmouth bass at Lake Havasu) and have been very pleasantly surprised. At this point, I would have no issue at all buying from Piscifun again.

had a Kastking Assassin......6.2 pound large mouth killed it...not it either backlashes or it will lock up when you cast ( approx 15 feet) My Lews Mach Crush is amazing...even after 1 year of constant fishing, it casts even better than new...to be honest, it casts farther than my brand new Lews Tournement Pro and my Daiwa Tatula Type R. The Crush is a good dependable reel ;)

Looks like the company has made some steps forward in the past two years. The one and only baitcaster I bought from them rusted out in less than two months. Was also big and oddly shaped. They did replace the reel at shipping cost for me tho. Sold that replacement. Ps. Before people start to comment on me not taking care of the reel. I had a black max abu that lasted over two years of similar saltwater use . Rinsed after use and oiled weekly.

This video is kind of old, but I got one of these reels. I saw the video about a year ago but I just couldn't justify spending $70 on a chinesium reel no matter how good it was, but it was on sale for 50 and I had to try it out. Well I got the reel, it does feel rather smooth and light. I took the spool off and that's when I noticed that the spool shaft is much shorter now. The spool weighs 12.5 grams. My question is, if you have the time to answer or notice the posts, what sort of issues will it have with a spool shaft that's no more than 1/8 of an inch? I'm guessing it may cast further with less weight but not sure if it will be prone for failure more or if there are other issues I may run into.

I'm a little jealous of the clicking spool tensioner, everything else not so much. I've owned a KastKing Bassanator, for your money the value is there 100%. Build tolerances allow sand to get in & around spool & thumb bar needed to be engaged with authority otherwise it would get hung up in between & grind gears upon casting. I would give it a solid 7 but compared to my tried & true Diawa Type R (cost $50 less too) it's a loser. But I like that you can get a taste (Chinese version) of high end features like ported spools, clicking drag tensioner etc. But they just aren't in it for the long haul. After a couple years of watching your channel I took the plunge to become a member. You'll have to show me secret handshake sometime. Tight lines!

It's a long answer but mag and centrifugal brakes take a bit have an impact... Tension comes in immediately.. With light baits it has a much greater impact.... Again super short answer

I picked up a piscifun seax elite for around 100 with a bfs extra spool. I got it because it is basically the same as a name brand reel which shall not be named that runs around 200 for the same reel with a slightly different color scheme. It's a decent reel and has an odd double braking system magnetic and (an odd variety of centrifugal).

Just an FYI for anyone interested in this reel. Your review reel has a long spool shaft and a basic non tapered line guide. The spark pro I have in my hand here has the short spool shaft, Daiwa style. As well as a very nicely tapered line guide. Frame molding and bearing support seems different also. Totally different reel This fellow's video shows the difference between these reel you tested and his. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aou6aXiqjZ2jiK8

Man with painted fingernails... is that an everyone in between? lol. Curious about this reel. I have a few piscifuns from just starting fishing again. I like them fairly well. My piscifun flame spinning reels are actually not bad at all. Hell of a bang for the buck at 22 bucks or so when I bought them. My Phantom baitcaster needed some tlc though. After about 6 or 7 months it started to feel kinda skipping a beat when reeling in. Took it apart and cleaned and lubed it and it feels better so far. But this Spark looks a bit better in quality. Might give it a shot for the hell of it. Not gonna care what happens to it. Kinda like carrying a 5 dollar pocket knife. Beat the hell out of it. Nothing to lose.
