New Plan for NYC's Ongoing Street Begging With Babies Issue | I-Team

New York City has a new plan to track down parents begging with babies on the sidewalks.
The protocol developed by Administration for Children’s Services Commissioner David Hansell, which was implemented in December, comes more than four years after the I-Team first exposed an organized group of women using babies and toddlers to tug at heartstrings and beg for cash on city streets.
Panhandling on NYC streets is not against the law with or without children, though all panhandling is illegal in the subway system. Still, it’s a troubling sight to many who encounter it.

Left a domestic violence situation, lost jobs, etc. They were still good mothers even though at the time they couldn’t afford much. But…they got help and got back on their feed. They didn’t scam people and panhandle with their children because they cared about the best interest or their children. The people in this video are everywhere and they’re the worst. They don’t even send their kids to school. The teach them how to panhandle and scam and the cycle repeats itself.

I live in California and the economy is hurting everyone including myself. I just walked into Trader Joes a high end market. I purchase some cold cuts to make my lunch sandwiches. But today a middle eastern woman from Iran , Iraq, or Syria I'm not sure. But she could speak English well enough to ask me to buy her groceries. I told her she came to America to work and live. We in America work for our food. We don't beg. Begging is for those unfortunate. Possible that they are injured or to sick to work. But she ran up to me fine. She is about middle thirty. I'm 69 years old. I still work because I can't retire and live on Social Security. I paid into it but I could never survive. So even though I have troubles I go day to day thanking God Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ that I'm in good health. People need to work not beg unless legitimately they can't. I just experienced this at my local McDonald’s. I had a conversation with a translator app and I got the person phone number. I wonder if I could give this information to anyone. I wanted to bring the baby home with me. I had my nephew so that’s why they came to me. “Mom to mom she said please baby hungry no speak English I’m Romanian . I left crying because I wanted so desperately to help the baby and I almost gave them 400$ for a weeks hotel. Thank God my instincts kicked in. Wow, it's Aug 2021, this video is from 2019. This is the first I'm hearing that was even discussed to mayor DiBlasio!
