I seriously doubt flyers make their decision as to which airline they travel on based on the airline's green foot print. I base my decision based on which airline can get me where I want to go at the best time for departure and arrival. The fewer hours my butt has to remain in their uncomfortable seats the better.

The focus on green/carbon footprint is targeted at business travelers. There are companies starting to require travelers booking itineraries with as low environmental impacts as possible/feasible.

I agree, but they will make decisions in part, on the aircraft they fly. Boeing's issues have impacted on customer confidence in the airlines flying their airplanes. Whether it's rational or not, I'll avoid 737MAX , so airlines flying them won't get my business.

My criterior for booking is the airline that will get me round trip at the right times, the number of sops ( prefer non stop), and the times each way.

Yay... i work for this great airline! We're an international player and will stay that way for many years to come however, boeing is slowing us down immensely..

Oh we are also putting our 757s through C phase maintenance.. so i dont think theyll be leaving the fleet anytime soon also thanks to boeing.

Get rid of the inefficient aircraft and move efficient ones from routes with "over capacity" to cover for the older retired planes!

..well that would mean A321 NEOs and XLRs to replace the 757s ad that is the only available aircraft which that closest fits that type and market. Unfortunately it doesn't have the hot/high airport performance of the 757 due to less powerful engines The CFM< LEAP produces a maximum thrust of 33,100 lbf while the RB211-535-E4B produces 43,500 lbf and the PW-2000/43 produces 42,600 lbf.

I was recently hired by UA as a flight attendant. In training, they were talking about their growth plans and it aggressive. Unfortunately, I had to leave the airline. Things seemed very unorganized and the pay they promised did not coming into being. We all counted on a contract and it had not happened by the time I left. Looking to get onboard with DELTA, God willing. Thanks for the great video. I love each one of them. OH! Please don't get me wrong, UA treated me very well and they are a good outfit. I just think that they have bitten off more than they can chew at the moment.
