40:00 - This is the only moment in the game where I almost never go the Paragon route. "Just" a slave grab? Nope, no slaver is gonna walk away from Spectre Justice. Except when they threaten the hostages.

@Ghaladd2 ай бұрын
yeah don't worry about cutting the sidequests of this game, as you said most were go to place, shoot and get the outcome in text form which is nice but they're not really that exciting so I understand the omission but it's still very good you did do them since they provide world building 36:18 I dunno about that, you got a lot better driving the Mako at least, you're the first I've seen make Mako do an actual flip 😆🤣 I think the Batarians have been mentioned before in passing but this is the first time we've seen them and I think they're one of the few aliens that kind of freak me out lol, I think it's the amount of eyes and the fact that they're all one color I'm glad you were able to actually convince one of them to stand down since they do seem to have a nasty reputation of being just ruthless criminals... unfortunately he's probably toast once he meets with Balak like you said 😂 haha and I gotta say this is one of the DLCs I don't play a whole often so it was nice seeing it almost like a new player it definitely has a pretty good variety of what makes a mission good in this game so it was really fun! I think the thing I remembered the most was the the decision at the end but I think you did good haha definitely one of the harder decisions of the game since there's no clear "better option" as it's mostly what you think it's best. I thought you would've sacrificed the hostages after seeing Kate's big family jewels 🤣🤣 but completely agree on saving the lives you actually can save now
@KahliPlaysGames2 ай бұрын
Are the side quests in ME 2 also like that where there are some that really good stories but most are just getting xp and shooting up compounds? Flipping Mako was my goal of the game Im so happy it actually happened!! Yeah this DLC was probably one of my favorite missions of the game. It was really intense and the decision was insane!! I was really on the fence with this one. I say it was like 51% to 49%. Either decision had major risks but I think saving the hostages was a bigger gamble. I hope I don't regret letting him go... We will have to see. I hope we get some more backstory about him though, it would be kind of interesting if we run into him again and get to have a deeper conversation about his hatred of humans. Maybe we could also let the Council or the Alliance know about him so that they could keep an eye out for him. That way if he tries to do something like this again more people than just us will be ready for it. Low key really worried I made the wrong decisions but thats the half the fun! I have to say that I really love that this game gives you lose lose decisions, it makes you really have to think about it and feels more realistic. I hope that there are more decisions like this in the next one!
@Ghaladd2 ай бұрын
@@KahliPlaysGames they do improve in the next games as they get more unique and interesting and they also have all impact on the main story so they definitely step it up the ones here are not bad but compared to the ones that follow they are pretty barebones Haha yeah, it's definitely not an easy decision, again really appreciated that you talked through your reasoning. Killing him would put an end to it but just taking a bunch of innocent people just doesn't sit well with me lol. And now that we know Balak's out there it should be possible to find him or at least the Alliance should be on alert but we'll see I think what's also pretty exciting about the decisions in this game is that you're not really sure what's gonna happen with what you choose so they hold much more weight, at least looking back on your playthrough btw I hope your week improved 😆everyone loves the weekends
@KahliPlaysGamesАй бұрын

That omnitool at the end is one of the best one in the game, but since you did the DLC basically last AND you are a soldier, it is not really worth it. If you ever do a second playthrough and decide to do a tech-based class, do the dlc early and get the omni tool.
@KahliPlaysGames9 күн бұрын
Yeah I was going to choose the omni tool initially but it made more sense to get the armor due to the class I chose for Shepard 😁

@Kahli -- Awesome, can't wait to see how you do with ME 2 and 3 😊
@mr_chill772 ай бұрын
Wow, you’re almost at the end of the game already! I usually tend to kill Batak there, because I figure if he was trying to kill millions of people this time he will try to kill millions of people again, and how would I feel if I arrived at a planet too late where millions died and I could have stopped it but I didn’t just to save like 5 people. In terms of the side quests, I think most of them are really just for getting money and resources. The ones you are locked out of are the ones I would have recommended. There is something called Cerberus that is a huge, huge part of the next two games, and while doing the Cerberus missions in ME1 is not essential, it does give you some context and might even change your mind about some decisions you would make in ME2 and ME3. If you feel like it, I think it might be worth your time to watch all of the Cerberus missions from ME1. Just be careful about spoilers. I might watch someone else’s playthrough who hadn’t played ME2 and ME3 at that point just to be safe.
@KahliPlaysGames2 ай бұрын
Yeah I had similar thoughts. It was really a very hard decision. The only thing that made me hesitant is the idea that it was an uncertainty. He could potentially do this again, but he also may not. I agree though that it is more of a gamble letting him go. I was also really worried that if I chose to fight him, he might have gotten away anyway and then those who were sacrificed would have died for nothing. I think this was one of the hardest decisions yet. I really loved it however because it was a lose lose choice and I feel like those choices are always the best because they are so much harder to make. I hope ME2 and ME3 have more decisions like that. Sounds good about Cerebrus, I will see if I can find just ME1 scenes about it :)

This mission is really solid Mass Effect-ing. Some challenging combat and Mako driving, a good sci-fi plot, and a tough paragon/renegade choice at the end. Good endgame loot too if you're high level, with choices of guaranteed Colossus armour or a top-tier omni-tool or biotic amp. Fun fact, Bring Down the Sky is one of only two DLC created for ME1, and the other (Pinnacle Station) isn't in the Legendary Edition. Don't worry, you're not missing much. Pinnacle Station wasn't created by the main Mass Effect team, and it's just a combat simulator with only a little bit of story attached.
@KahliPlaysGames2 ай бұрын
Yeah this mission was so good! One of the hardest choices of the game for sure. Also, love that we got some sick ass armor. Really cool about the other DLC. Thanks for sharing! Hope you are having a good week :)

You did penty sidequest for it to carry over to ME2. The Asari writings, and things like that don't really do to much, lore wise in ME2. You will start with more Paragon now when you carry your save over to ME2.
@AlbDavidT505Ай бұрын
Not so. Without the Asari writings and the Prothean data you don't get the Conrad Verner easter egg in ME3. It is not important to finishing the game, but you miss out on the special content.
