My main question is how do you even get to the action as a new player? I have no mount, and move at a snail's pace. I feel like fodder for gankers.

Go with the Zerg. Most Mounts of the Zerg have a speed buff for you. You'll get your own mount within two evenings.

Ganking is not as prevalent as you think. Just follow, you'll catch up.

follow a commander, once you are in the commanders range you will get a group buff of increased movements speed. That way everyone is running at the same pace. Just make sure you have lvl 1 glider to prevent dying from fall damage. And immediately start working on your mount, once you have that mount.. everything will be easy for you.

If anyone misses playing cyridil I reccomend getting and playing gw2 it's free on steam with no subscriptions (you will be slightly restricted as a f2p) but when u buy any dlc your no longer f2p, the game is fun regardless I would 100% reccomend

Great video! Thank you for creating this introduction to WvW! I wanted to see how the gameplay is and how commanders give orders. In your battle showcase starting from around 3:30, I was imagining being part of your squad, and I don't think I'll be able to follow commands. I'll be panicking trying to juggle rotation, orders, killing, staying alive, etc. hahah! I'm a noob! :) I guess WvW may not be for me. :(

ahaha it's okay! sometimes it takes a while to get used to it. but there are other ways to play wvw. there's still a huge community of roamers that run around either alone or in groups without callouts like these. some players even come into wvw to join pug groups that will focus on capturing objectives and participate in fights when needed to either fight off attackers or defend structures. If you do find yourself in WvW, i hope you find a group right for you :) there's a place in the mists for everyone! also, if you plan on crafting legendaries someday, you'll eventually have to get into WvW to get the gift of battle hope you have a good week! 'S

What’s the best class for solo roaming in WvW? I was thinking Soulbeast may be the one but I’m new so not sure. Something that can handle outnumbered situations and get some kids

ahaha, i have the field of view in the options set all the way to the right. but i think having an ultrawide monitor helps (it's 21:9 aspect ratio).

How is arc working in wvw?

This was recorded a long time ago but if you’re having issues with arc DPS today, there was a huge gw2 update and I just updated arc and all the extensions through gw2 add on manager (mukluk has a guide on the add on manager) and it fixed the issues. Sometimes after a big update, there are issues with arc for a week or so. It’s a 3rd party add on so the it’s not the fault of Anet

How can people see anything here lol It's so cluttered and the fps drops are crazy, no wonder WvW is not more popular :D I wish gw2 had smaller BG's with different objectives for like 20-30 people max on map.

Because GW2 is not optimised for big zergs. Even open world pve world bosses suffer the same scenario of Fps drops.

I've been going to WvW and asking for help/Guilds in chat for days. All I've had is abuse and claims that I'm a 'spy' and a troll. Seems like a very toxic community that isn't remotely new (to WvW) player friendly.

@@robanderson1837 dang okay :/ so it looks like you’re on EU. It’s possible that EU has a different approach or it could be your particular server.. Really sorry to hear that. Are there any beginner friendly guilds on your server? You could try that. gw2mists.com/guild-recruitment You can filter your server through there and most guilds will have their discord and information on the site. Some might even say “beginner friendly” or “willing to train” Really hope you can find something. If you ever find yourself on Gates of Madness, feel free to run with us or ask questions

Yeah it’s definitely not for everyone. Very hard to keep up too but if you’re ever interested in wvw, there will always be people happy to help out in most cases :)

I watched this video to try understand wtf im suppose to do and gain something out of it and stayed the same or understand even less, has new player you fucked, you need a mount to go around which is impossible it seems to get cause you dont even know what activies u need to do, its a big map and there is no objectives.

If you watched the video, at 2:40 is how to get your warclaw (and the steps you need to take to obtain it). Its also said in the first 30 seconds of the video (00:32) what objectives there are and how to navigate the map. I hope watching again helps next time!

@@karibgamingsometimes79390:30 he should have gone a bit deeper, cause what the npc tell you is just top layer without telling you there is other things you can do to gain points, 2:40 a rushed how to obtain that literaly tell you to go check wiki cause its too much of a bummer to state a good feature that is needed to wonder around the map, i did watch the video and felt that way since i didnt play the mode, now i comeback few hours later knowing how to play it properly and learn from other YT channel how to properly get the mount which i still need 2 things to get it, so i hope you can get better comeback next time.
