Great video. I love watching plow videos no one does it around here anymore. Your out plowing and watering and we're getting snow. Hows the future farmhand doing.

Really great slacking off a bit but it’s ok I’m being lenient 😂. I personally love plowing too it always looks cool especially with the west Texas red dirt

What are the power requirements compared to a conventional plow? How does it work in various soil types (loam, clay, etc.)? How does it work in various soil moisture conditions? How about various trash conditions like heavy corn stalk residue?
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
It would still work in all soil types it would just leave the ground a bit clumpy in more clay dirt (and as long as it’s not too wet). Works amazing in trash we used it in corn stalks 2 years ago and it worked really good but it was after silaging not thrashing. Anything deeper than a foot you want more than 340 hp. 2 years ago we went 18” deep and had to use our 370 hp tractor now with going a foot our 335 hp tractors pull it with ease. Hope this helps

From what I could tell at the beginning of the video, the trip linkage is very similar to linkage introduced by Deere in 1978.
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
Very similar except you have no sheer bolts so if it ever trips you don’t need to fix anything

How would that plow work in hard red clay in Ga
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
It would definitely pull tough but as long as you could find a way to level the ground afterwards you’d be good

How did you like the John Deere plows? Been looking at them to purchase but haven’t yet
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
They’re ok they just don’t flip the dirt completely over like the Tatu or the Fehrs plow

Oh man, the world is gonna explode and all life will end. You are breaking land. You are supposed to do no till🤣🤣🤣. There are still cases where conventional tillage is called for. As you said, bury the cotton residue and no volunteer cotton. A lot of guys here in Georgia still turn the field for peanuts. Plus, it does get rid of a lot of weed seeds. Switch plows are awesome compared to standard moldboard plows.
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
Haha oh yea for sure. If we weren’t planting peanuts we would totally be minimum till but you gotta do what you gotta do
