Nice product. Should be great for different critters.

My friend Jim Blakely sold the pocket poppers I suppose at least 15 years ago maybe 20. It was a decent product. I trapped a few rats and mink in them Me and Jim used them a little bit South Dakota spring rat trapping when we had no bank and shallow water.

Jim made a good drowning lock too!

If he makes one for 160's I may think of buying a few. Good idea.

Couple issues here. 1) in a lot of states, a body grip trap on dry land has to be recessed at least 6". That doesn't recess the trap far enough to be legal. 2) if only one brand is making 150s, this product is limited to those customers. 3) this is probably the BIGGEST issue I have: how hard is it to just take a sawzall or tinsnips and just snip a channel in the corrugated pipe for the springs? Buy or rescue CP that's a little bigger than the outside edge of my corners, cut the slit myself to properly recess my trap size of choice, and I'm done. I get the idea, but trapping stuff is already expensive, fur isn't worth much, so IDK how this is solving a problem. MAYBE if the box attachment allowed for a 160 AND had a recessed spring channel of 6". Not dogging it, it's not a terrible idea, just trying to provide some constructive feedback.

Would they still need to be recessed like the 160 's in PA?
@toddstrohecker2 ай бұрын
In PA during mink and muskrat season a 5x5 does not need to be recessed. It does need to be in a watercourse though.

Fairly new subscriber here. Love the videos. I'm new to the mink trapping here in northeast Wisconsin, this is my second year, 3 mink last year and just skinned number 5 for this year. With that being said I have a question for you. Every mink I have skinned has what looks like worms between the skin and the muscle. It's like white string varying in length. Is this something I should be concerned about? I always wears gloves.

@christinamoneyhan5688 are you trapping in Wisconsin?
@christinamoneyhan56882 ай бұрын
@@luckytrapper7656 no ,no I am not. I’m an old trapper from Pa. and I was curious as to the white stringing stuff you were questioning about.👍🇺🇸✌🏻

Thanks for sharing. Have you used the RBG traps? I’d like someone to make something for them to slot into.
