Am I missing something about the whole Dynamax/Gigantamax thing? All of the other non-regular Pokémon that have come out, including Mega, have been usable throughout the game, (raiding, Team Rocket battles, PvP, and even buddies), whereas Dynamax/Gigantamax seem to be only useful within the Max Battle feature… and besides the lowest tier Dynamax, these battles are frustratingly difficult and require more trainers than usually even show up in my area. I’ve basically just decided to ignore the whole feature.

You can already use dynamax pokemon in raids, been able to do this ever since the release of toxtricity. Not sure if can use them in battle league, mainly because that thing is so broken and bugged and full if cheaters with nothing done, that ive not done any in a long time.

I think they should use like 10 or 20 Sylvally candies to change its typing. Maybe 15. Here are my predictions: Black and white kyurem- they will definitely be released in the unova tour, hopefully they're just like necrozma where we could actually fuse kyurem koraidon and miraidon- I could definitely see them adding these two this year to release some new legendarys. Shadow Rayquaza- why was this skipped over? Shadow Rayquaza will be amazing Volcanion- this is the next mythical I think should be released in raids (outside of arceus which could be a go fest pokemon), I could see some potential for it in the go battle league Basculegion- one of the last hisuian pokemon outside of other hissuian formes to complete the hisui pokemon Manaphy and Phione- I could see Manaphy getting released in special research where you receive a 50k egg to hatch one, and I could also see phione being released in 12k eggs with a larvesta-like hatch chance Keldeo's re-release- since the unova tour is happening, I could see them releasing Keldeo to the public, which is how it should've been released The rest of the megas- mega gallade has already been announced, but I could see Mega Audino, mega sharpedo and mega camerupt getting raid days as well as being in raids for the following week. Mega metagross will be a big deal and have a raid day most likely, and I could see Mega Mewtwo X and Y being the main stars of pokemon go fest. All these megas will be released in anticipation of pokemon legends ZA, which is bringing back megas and will hopefully have new ones

Mechanics can be different. Annihilape's Rage Fist increases everytime it gets hit, but in PoGo it's just an attack boost everytime you use it.

The upcoming Z has strongly hinted at Megaevolutions, so I think it's possible we'll (a) get new megas in the "main series" games and (b) we might even get a tie-in mega with Pokemon Go, where Go releases it to set up hype for Z. Most starters got megas the first go around, so it's possible we'll see megas for the new starters... and G2? Similarly, most psuedo-legendaries ended up with Megas, so here's hoping the trend continues...

Technically Eternatus has a form that goes beyond Gigantamax in Eternamax, which will NEVER be given to the player to use. (Its base stat total in the main series is around 400 points higher than ARCEUS, I don't know what that would do to its max CP in Go, but it's probably in the 9k range.) So we'd probably fight it in a G-Max raid, but would catch the regular given that happens in Sword and Shield's plot.

While Eternatus does have its eternamax form, in SwSh, it functioned more like a boss battle, and once you caught Eternatus, you couldn't access that form at all. No one knows how PoGo will incorporate this in the future. I'm hoping for something like a boss battle that isn't elite raids

I know we’re getting Mega Gallade in January, I’m pretty sure they said that? Maybe I misread thar, but I predict we’ll get it! I’d love to see them do a Rookidee community day in March and release gigantamax corviknight during or after like they did with the mega Pokémon when they first came out! I also think a Grimsnarl com day in October with its Gigantamax releasing then/during the Halloween event! I feel like they could do Kubfu as part of Go Fest or Go Wild Area adding Ushifuru to gigantamax and dynamax raids at the same time! I feel like Niantic is saving Mega Mewtwo for 2026 with their 10 year anniversary go fest along with Arceus. We could see Manphy and Phione released this year with Go Fest! Honestly we could also get shiny Victini this year! I do feel like we’ll see more Pokémon from Gen 8 & 9 and maybe even an event for Gen 10/Legend ZA with shiny Zygarde being introduced!
