It might work, but wrapping paper is way thicker than napkin so I don’t think the outcome would be as good.

I enjoyed watching the tutorial, your videos are gorgeous and relaxing, may I ask when you make 2 sides you bake it once? right! and another question can I make it on air dry clay? Thanks
@CoffeeCupids
@CoffeeCupids 6 ай бұрын
@@hebasaid4533 thank you 🙏 I wouldn’t make both sides at once since the liquid clay that I use as the top coat might stick on the layer that is faced down and turns out smudged or not smooth. This method is not possible with air dry clay.🙂

Love this tutorial! I do have a question - if I'm making earrings for my own personal use or to give as gifts I'm assuming it's okay, but if I am going to make earrings to sell for commercial use do I need to worry about copyright issues from using napkins that have designs created by someone else?
@CoffeeCupids
@CoffeeCupids Жыл бұрын
Good question! But I am not 100% sure. In my mind, you have to buy their design in order to make your thing so it’s like using it as a “material” to make your art and paying them what they ask for, aka the “price of the napkin”.

No, Modge Podge cannot be used on clay. It reacts to it, and the reaction makes it sticky over time.

So this technique is more découpage than image transfer? Still super cute. I work with Sculpey clay and I just happen to have some translucent liquid clay so I’ll try both this and your image transfer technique and let you know how it goes! So excited to get into my craft room!!

exactly my thoughts on the decoupage technique, since nothing was transferred, instead - glued upon. Mod podge is sold in larger volumes and might even be cheaper than liquid glue )) What I was wondering, though, if one may just wash off the napkin under running water like the traditional polymer clay transfer paper technique and then baked :D
@Lyn4817

Try leaving your liquid clay upside down in a glass or similar container. That way the liquid will be readily available at the nozzle when doing work like this.

You are being pedantic. She is doing a trandfer technique, transfering a paper medium onto clay with a glue substance. You are stuck on a certain type of transfer and are trying to limit everyone else to that.
