Currently in the process of building a pond and thinking about fibreglassing the inside is it necessary to insulate the walls first also what was used for the top coat
@StokeKoiAdventures Жыл бұрын
Hi mark, in regards insulation , using 25mm kingspan, serves as two things, it insulated the pond and gives a smooth service to fibreglass too. And to be honest I would definitely insulate. Top cost/ flow cost. Polyester Resin topcoat provides an excellent finish for fibreglass ponds. Waterproof, abrasion-resistant and durable, it offers excellent protection and great aesthetics. Check out this site gives you loads of info( www.resinlibrary.com/knowledge/guide/how-to-make-a-fibreglass-pond-lining/ Hope this helps plus watch loads of videos, it helps. And don’t rush

Question mate?? My fibreglass has debonded from blockwork and water getting behind in heavy rain. Any product you would recommend to rebond to blockwork?
@StokeKoiAdventures3 ай бұрын
Hi if you can get in between the fibreglass and block get some ct1 and pump it in press the fibreglass down and seal around the top edge. You could always warm it up so it’s more pliable. Unusual situation . Please let me know how you go on.
