I love the fact that Porsche never has to change the recipe on the design. It looks awesome the way it is and they only add minor tweaks. I love that about them. I hate when a brand changes the complete look of a car every 3 years. From beginning to current the Porsche has evolved yet it keeps that look that we all love.

Reality? I'm quite sure that the first GT3s to be sold will be above 400k€ (If you weren't lucky enough to get your order accepted). Different car, same story. (the 911R value won't ever drop beneath its original price, no serious person would have paid those fantasy prices some dealers asked).

I have a pre order for the 991.2 GT3 and I'd like to clear this mess once and for all. GT3 is not a limited production car. The sticker hovers around $120k before options and mine is around $155k with a few extras. Absolutely anyone can walk into a Porsche dealer and order a GT3 like you would a Honda Accord since the cars are not numbered. The only difference is, they wont make more than what customers request like the Accord. The 911R however, I wish I had a crystal ball that showed me the future too (even if it's just car prices)

Even though Porsche is tied with a couple other companies for my heart for 80s-10s cars, Porsche is still keeping their old philosophies true- and that has put them FAR above any other company right now in my book- even with the Americans bringing on their beasts. The GT3 and GT4 right now are at a point where they are just about perfect. They're Light, they look beautiful especially for a modern car, the GT3 has the crazy but awesome Rear engine and it WORKS! thats the thing about Porsche, everything just works. Their minimalistic interiors are some of my favorites, the seats, wheel, gearbox, pedals, everything you touch is simple and light but elegant, i love high revving NA engines and they have those too, i could mention just about everything with the only complaint being the price- but even so it is totally fair for one of the best high end sports cars ever made. And with the Cayman GT4 (besides none being left) they are alittle over HALF the price... All of this and im not a diehard Porsche fan, but i give credit where credit is due.

And unlike Ferrari, they care about their fans or critics. Ferrari has been called out many times for their shady practices on how they modify their cars during reviews. They threatened a LaFerrari owner that if he raced the LaFerrari against the 918 spyder, he'll never be allowed to buy a Ferrari again. Ferrari as a company are absolute pricks. Porsche actually cares about it's fans/critics unlike Ferrari. Ferrari would never release a manual transmission 488 GTB ever.

I understand why some folks prefer the PDK in this car, it's faster, period. However, I applaud Porsche for recognizing, finally, that not all of us gives a shit about a few tenths of a second. The added engagement that a manual provides will always be more important to that group of people. They may only amount to 1/4 of Porsche sports car buyers, but clearly it should always be offered, especially since Porsche is charging for the manual now, which is a shameless cash grab, in my opinion, but at least it's available.

@@richeisele7174 As I said, they're charging for both the manual and the PDK now, whereas the manual use to be standard and the PDK was a $3700 option I believe. Now the PDK is 'standard' meaning everyone pays for it, whether they get that or the manual. The "no cost option" verbiage is bs but, again, I'm just glad they offer the manual, even if it is a cash grab.

Delighted the manual is back. Also the 9000rpm redline. Still don't want EPAS and four wheel steering though. I felt that go wrong on an R34 GTR, not nice! The next GT3 will surely be a turbo if not hybrid. Amazed Porsche aren't charging £150k for it though. These will be changing hands for nearly £200k, you can guarantee the car flippers will already have ordered all the UK allocation. Simply no point putting an order in. Porsche need to find a way to look after the genuine drivers, at the moment they are just making car speculators even more wealthy.

Welcome back indeed. She is a beautiful looking and performing (prediction) car. I am not a fan of the pinstripe nor black wheels but its can be optioned out. I would not buy an automatic in a performance car for the streets. I buy for the thrill of attempting to push my skills to the cars limits not be driven in a self driving (possible future option) or self shifting, built to be fun car. i know its history and also know that it wasproduced in a limited number, but the fact that people wanted a manual in a car which drives and handles like the gt3 rs . the people except the collectors who wanted that had to pay a huge market value and so the price went too high . but since now there is a gt3rs with a manual the y will tend to buy it . the 911r is a collectors car and cant be compared to a manual gt3 rs , but for those who just want manual in a porsche car they will buy the new gt3 rs rather than paying near to a million dollars for a 911r . collectors are gonna pay that money , but a non collector isnt. the price may not drop significantly but people's interest will sure fade on the 911r
