NEW PrimeWeld TIG325x Unboxing and Setup. First TIG Welder

TIG welding since 1974………..have the 325’s smaller brother, the 225. Awesome machine, running the Primeweld water cooler and CK20 torch. Also running a MIG180, next up is a CUT60 and eventually replace the 225 with a 325. Primeweld is a great company to do business, excellent customer service, fast shipping.

PrimeWeld definitely packages things well. We got the PrimeWeld Cut60 plasma cutter, and so far we are impressed. Can't wait to get TIGging myself, with our tig welder. Well done, brother. God bless.

I've been welding since 2003. I've run esab miller and lincoln weders only. I ran a dynasty 700 for years. I used a prime weld 225 for a few hours with pure argon to weld a fuel tank for a peterbuilt and I'm 120% impressed with the machine. I've immediately made the decision to sell my miller mig welder and buy the 325tig water cooler and 285mig.

I thought the same thing. I was shocked when it arrived on the FedEx truck and I grabbed it to carry it out and had to put it straight on the ground. LOL My brain thinks I am 20 still and my body said, Nope...

Yeah, if I have a lot of welding I would definitely mig weld it. I mainly want it for stainless and aluminum. But I like the clean splatter free part of it. :)

I hope to get in some practicing this week. I just need to figure out the interference issue when I hit the foot pedal. It really buzzed the audio in the camera. I need to see if it was the Panasonic dslr or the cheap boom mic I use on top. I will need to do a little experimenting.

The primeweld will stick weld DC up to 250. I have never stick welded aluminum but from all I know you only need DC and run it reverse polarity. So this machine would do those settings so I assume it would stick weld aluminum okay. I will probably only use TIG for aluminum or maybe someday, if needed, I might pick up an aluminum spool gun for my other welding machine. A spool gun might work on the primeweld but I have never looked into it. I hope that helps.
