Just a word to the wise. As I was in the gas industry for years you need to keep the torch tanks secured in a cart. Watch a myth busters video on the subject of gas cylinders. If you launch one of those it won’t be pretty. Don’t want to see you two hurt or the dogs in the house they could go through the wall. Safety first!

It would be a real hoot to see an episode where Danni gets tested on her knowledge of tools and the toolboxes get sponsor provided organizers. That are, of course, never used again. Hey, we have all been there and have the messy drawers to show for it. A clean garage is the sure sign of stalled projects.

Dan. I’ve found that if a guy cuts the header flange between each cylinder you can tighten each pipe independently and have virtually no issues with header gaskets . Or you can just keep replacing gaskets 😆

The trans. Could've been reading low because of the front car tilting down ? Hope you didn't over fill the trans 😮 its an old junkyard trans right 😉 ( fingers crossed ) The Cosworth Vegas came with twin overhead cam 4 cyl engine, Baldwin Motion Performance made aftermarket V8 engine and you could buy V8 engine conversion kits but I don't think you could ever get a V8 right from the factory... The Monza's that followed the Vega and had the same basic bones had V8s ( 305s thats a guess ) I hope the trans is ok and thank you both for another fix-em-up Tri-5 class ✌️😎 The car sounds sweet.... time for a shot on the road with the go peddle !

Hey ,Great vids ! Just a note on your master brake cylinder, that one looks to be off of a GMT 400, 88-98 OBS, it shouldn't be metric but the back port is 1/2 -20 and the front port is 9/16-18 and they are known to have poorer performance when compared to the newer NBS 1999-2007 style master cylinder which bolt right into place and runs 1/2-20 lines on both ports.

Dan try using regular old individual exhaust manifold gaskets made for cast iron manifolds . They are individual port gaskets not the header gasket type . I used them on headers and recheck bolt tightness after a few heat cycles. They never leaked on me , I just checked the bolt every now and then .

Dan my transmission was slipping in Reverse and Overdrive. I drained 1 qt, and added the Lucas transmission repair and drove it for another 2 years without it slipping, again until I hit a deer and he stuck his horns in my transmission cooler draining all the fluid, and like you said all the old clutch materials are in the Old fluid so when I put new fluid in, it didn't shift anymore 😢
