Top job to the lad from Bachmann, can tell he was a tad nervous but did very well! Props to you!

Nice to see Bachmann focusing on an era in OO that isn't primarily Diesels after what seems like an eternity.

Now they just need to do a regular release of the LNWR Improved Precedents with one in the proper LNWR condition to go with the coaches as well.

Simple - your layout is a heritage railway. It can be styled in the modern era, but you have an excuse to run locos from different eras.

I'm hoping that releases like this from Bachmann and others might lead to future exhibitions not being inundated with layouts exclusively set in the 1950s and 1960s 😅 Exciting release for me - if they were on Liverpool and Manchester formations in LNWR days, does that mean they went to Fleetwood as well? They do look lovely 😍
@JohnTurner-m9d20 сағат бұрын
These look exquisite, but where's the close-coupling we've become so used to? The gap between corridor connections harks back to the days of Tri-ang.
@David-g1p-v8k12 сағат бұрын
'...back to Tri-ang' which of course Hornby really is, there's no Meccano in its DNA, as to close coupling, agreed, it does let them down but great models though.
@davetedd3633Күн бұрын
Great detail on these, just a shame about the massive gap between the gangways. If only manufacturers could produce very flexible rubber and magnetic gangways to completely bridge the gap. The paper ones you can buy look naff.

Hopefully they will also be available as West Coast Joint Stock. Even after 50 years, modelling Scottish pre-grouping railways is a hard furrow.

Does this mean we can expect to see more LNWR locos....? Wouldnt take much adjustment of tooling from previous models (Coal Tank, Super D, Precedent) given their standardisation of parts. Also, why no early LMS......?🙄

Maybe fit a stay alive to the sound class 31 as standard. We shouldn’t have to fit one ourselves considering how much they cost.

@@JackBowley95 To be honest I don’t think Accurascale are interested in the RHTT wagon set, for me it’s an open goal for them and they’re focused elsewhere, in time they will be producing items for high end premium modellers who want ultra detailed models, using Hatton’s mouldings is a phase that will end and never be revisited once Accurascale evolve as a manufacturer.

@TrainsandPlanes12313 сағат бұрын
I just looked and a birdcage coach is currently £90, so I’d guess a bit more than that maybe! Make sense I guess, if they can only make them in a few liveries and with specific appeal then they’re not going to sell in the same numbers as a mk1 for example. Whatever the price, I don’t really care though, finally an authentic pre grouping coach and there’s no way I could ever make anything look as good as these!
