Hi Mark. You have probably sorted it before I commented. Try putting the spare wheel on the rear. It is smaller in size, and will clear the wheel arch. So it can be moved. 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂

I think you’ll find the 1.5 petrol engine in the A class is chain driven Mark, by design should last the life time of the vehicle. So that is a bonus. The damage at the rear looks really strange, the near side back wheel appears to have been pushed from the rear and in from the side? Will be interesting to see more once you get it on the lift. Nothing seems to worry you too much these days, you certainly have no end of confidence!! Looking forward to the next instalment. 😊

Nice car Mark. The service history can be printed out at any Mercedes dealer. I’ve taken my Mercedes to 3 dealers and they have all printed out the service records. Nice roomy family car. That rear beam will be a pain to change. 👍👍

Invest in some dollies put them under the wheels and you can move the cat anywhere. I have some and use them regularly not just for cars.

On a front wheel drive car, you could use metal biscuit tin lids under the rear wheels to drive the car and move it around

They gave it you for persistence! Well done it was obviously meant to be. Just avoid any Elks though Mark! We had a semi automatic when I worked at Avis on fleet which was weird. Easy Rentacar had all A-class on their fleet many years ago too

Just let the tyre pressure down to about 10/15 psi and then she'll roll

Use a skateboard temporarily till you can afford the real thing good selection with it being automatic

These cars are notoriously bad sellers mate. Not popular at all, you can pick them up for £1500 without damage

@@KjH-sq1sz I’m not saying it’s not a terrible car. Just that The cheapest on auto trader for that spec, mileage and automatic is 3300 (clean car not cat write off). The manual versions are around 1500-2300. I reckon he will do all right out of it!
