I have about the same model van, a 2009 in white instead of black. I had a water leak on the passenger side too, about the same area. took a little finding, but it was actually the seam between the top and the wall and not the window. some quality silicone along the top side of the little trim piece (between roof and side) and its been good since.

If your son still travel with you and Angel, consider a Murphy bed, or fold down couch(warning on Jack knife sofas, my back and the don’t agree.🤣 Murphy’s are cheaper to build and more comfy IMHO.But, with a cage construction on your bus, wonder if you could attempt a HappiJac type bed that comes from the ceiling on tracks or belts. Like the Winnebago Revel or older style Safari’s. Easies and cheapest window coverings might be magnetic thermal curtains, snap in and peel off, with black out material attached or sewn on.

I had a similar shuttle bus, mine was 1997. I got a bunk bed futon to squeeze in the back so it has a top bunk that I used for storage and occasional 3rd person sleeping, the bottom futon was a couch during the day and large bed at night big enough for 2 people.

My van at work is a white Ford. Very nice inside. Engine went atc79,000. It has limo lights on the outside. Very good choice. You will have some good room. Can you give the inside dimensions?

If the bus is metal and not a fiberglass shell take the windows out of the bus and strip it down to the frame and reskin it. This way you can put in RV windows and insulate it properly. Wish I had down this with my shuttlebus. Those windows transfer a lot of thermal energy in and out of the bus. Also, put the bed on a winch system and build a u-shaped dinette below it for more seating.

I have the same model, the only caveat is that the sides aren't flat on it, so the windows have a slight bend to them that RV windows won't have.

Hello I have this same buss 2004 I'm converting to a moto van. By any chance how do the outside panels out side around the windows stick on. I have water leaks and has cause the parking to come detached a little and ruined all the wood inside by the windows

You mentioned swiveling the driver's seat. I would definitely swivel the passenger seat as well (I may have missed if you were going to or not). It adds so much living space when parked to be able to turn it around. We have a 17' E150 camper van and once I added the passenger swivel, it felt like a 17.25'er at least! (electronic controls are preventing me from swiveling the driver's seat, which is a constant source of sorrow). Will be watching this build!

When did you put up the video?I just got the notification 7:37 pm Eastern. I have commented many times about a Turtle Top van. We have one at work. Had a black Ford. Had a backwards seat with a table. I'm a chauffeur.

I swear I just saw this on Craigslist or maybe it was Facebook Marketplace in Atlanta, I saw the price it was a STEAL, awesome deal, can't wait to see the finish product. Man I got FOMO I been thinking of buying a van using it as a project and doing my first build for learning and then start building like 3 - 5 a year just for fun and sell them. Again, can't wait to see the results.

This is probably the one you saw it was on Facebook marketplace. The guy had just marked it down and it took me forever to get in touch with him to come take a look at it. It's got its issues but it was definitely worth the price. Can't wait to get started on it

How many cup holders for 2 front seats, need to get rid of that glass. Good thing this one is not moldy. Your wife won't be happy with this but we will like watching. Roof top AC noisy should check if too noisy. I am thinking this is a better flip.

Caution with the wheelbase if you plan to tow lots of toys. The ideal tow rig needs to have a short rear overhang. If not, towing long distances makes drives stressful. Is it a dually, one ton chassis? The color and windows will be an issue for cooling so make sure to oversize the A/C.

Make the bed a couch bed that would give you more room until it's time for bed the fold it out to a bed .

Have you ever thought of putting a futon in the back so you can have a seat in the back when it is not being used as a bed, I always thought that would be cool.
