So, mind set is key, Laura, when it comes to enjoying the lackluster infrastructure. The beauty lies in the ability to water and light everything, so that it will be green and growing. When the lines and cables are buried and all you have is little boxes to camouflage with gardens those little boxes should bring you joy, because they provide life to your property. Enjoy the process, even infrastructure.

Wow! Overwhelms me to look at that but how fun to be able to create a new garden from scratch! I was kinda saddened though when you said you were gonna remove the picket fence from in front of the house!😟 It just suites the style & era of when the house was built. Also, large more grandiose Victorians did have a smaller garden close to the house w/ a gate that opened into a much larger lawn or gardens. Especially the way you already have an arch there that just helps to lead you from one garden room to the next. Can't wait to see all those Sweet Peas in bloom! Just love them! I never seem to have much luck w/ them over here in Eugene though as the spidermites just seems to always get them (no matter how much I treat them!😠😩😭). Just love their frilly ruffley little petals!💖💜💙

@lelorfi He has a drone for the bird's eye view. You can get the measurements by going to your county property tax GIS site (google that if you live in the US.) I think I’m as excited as you are and the sweet peas, oh my goodness, they are one my favorite. One of our homes had a huge garden and we planted sweet peas several years. Sweet memories of my grandmothers sweet peas that were planted every year along their driveway. I can’t wait to see your dahlias. We grew them the size of lunch plates. We had gone to New Zealand and almost all the gardens had amazing dahlias even the Wheat-a-bid factory had them. So excited for you both! That sketch - as you were describing the plan I thought it’d be great to see this illustrated and then you popped that sketch into the video. From comments I see I’m not alone in pausing 😊 The fencing and arbor helps tremendously in being able to imagine the space. I have to start with fencing and structures, then trees and carving out beds. This project is going to be huge but SO WORTH the efforts involved!

Yay! The new space. Thank you so much for showing all of that details. The trenching. The electrical. The fencing. The irrigation. I hope the sweet peas do well. They should be beautiful.

💚EGADS! All of this is so overwhelming...but in a good way. I love watching you enthusiastically work this land. My sweet little garden is all planted and growing. I plant a few more things here and there. I trim, fertilize, weed, cut, water, and then sit back and enjoy watching you and Aaron happily tackle these monumental tasks.💚

I half expected to see gophers running for their lives in a mad dash to get away from the tractor lol

Here's wishing you all the luck you think you will need! Good luck! But after watching you all this time I really don't think you will need it. You are the gardener I wish I could have been. I think you are just fantastic! With Aaron by your side I think that how ever it turns out you two can do it. Y'all will turn that barren field into something magical & so beautiful. But how ever it looks in the end. It will be beautiful. TFS!
