Good morning Laura, Aaron and Little Benjamin ❤ 😊 💙 😘 I'll start off by saying *thank you* I'm a first stage breast cancer patient, and I was in a state of depression for a few years, but after finding your videos on KZbin, I started to watch, I never missed a single video, I watched you plant daily and you inspired me to plant and grow beautiful things ❤ I have a small garden, at the moment, but I thank you for inspiring me to never give up and continue moving forward and to do things that will make me happy 😊 Now, I love gardening more than ever and when I sit in my garden, I feel so peaceful 😌 and relaxed. Continue doing what makes you happy Laura 😊 ☺ 💛 🤗 😊 I'll always love and support you and your small family 👪 ❤ ♥ 💕 Lots of love and kisses 💕 😘 💖

Flowers heal! I had a devastating crush injury almost 5 years ago & my previously strong body was radically changed. For years, everything I wanted to do was SO hard, some activities were impossible to do. I was depressed, anxious & angry at being dependent on others. I kept trying though & this year, I'm finally surprising myself, my family & my Drs. My daughters family & I have managed to purchase a modest home with a large but unkempt yard. To have folks stop to see my mailbox area, to be able to take cut zinnias & coneflowers to people I've gotten to know, brings me such joy. I hope you can get your physical & emotional strength back. Just a few pots of flowers can bring you SO much joy & sense of accomplishment. I hope you can find some people to love & support you too. May peace find your heart & strength return to your mind & body. Much love sister!

I'm so happy to hear you're doing well and enjoying your garden! Best wishes as you continue forward Bibi! I too found healing in Garden Answer videos after my partner of 23 years died. What a precious gift this channel is! This Earth holds so much healing, so of course, one who cares for it with love holds a special magic of their own, don't they?🌎✨ I wonder if Laura knows the magic she shares just by doing what she loves? How blessed we all are to share in it! 💚

I'm a spider hater too (have had to kill several in the house recently, although I did set one free). My brother used to live with me and had a thing for tarantulas. At one point we had 75+ of them in the basement (talk about 1 too many). My daughter had a pet spider named Charlotte and took it to school one day for show & tell. They made me arrange a ride home for her because she wasn't allowed to ride home on the bus with it.🙃 Thanks for brightening my mornings. 🌻🌻🌻🌻Sunflower suggestion for next year- Take an area and make stadium rows of sunflowers. The back row will be 10 feet, then 8 feet, the next row will be 6 or 7 feet tall, next will be 4 or 5 followed by 3 and 2 feet and something very very short. A friend of mine did this for several years and it is breathtaking!🌻🌻🌻🌻

Even though you have high temps during the day there you can grow snapdragons on full sun in August. They would FRY here in my zone 9b. It will be and has been 100 or more for months now. You just have the greenest thumb I have ever seen!

Snapdragons will take heat if they're well watered; I grew them in inland Los Angeles summers... but where I live now it's the humidity that gets to them, I think.

@@HappyCats17 I am in the Central Valley. No way can we grow snapdragons in full sun well watered or not. The fry and die back.

@@HappyCats17 my Mom lives in Pasadena. She can grow them there but we cannot here. 105 degrees and nights staying in the 80's for days and days. My poor plants. Thank God for AC

@@melissastruxness512 Oh my goodness, I have family in the CV! (Dinuba/Tulare/Madeira) So disgustingly hot, but such amazing people. And my mom grew up in Pasadena, small world! I truly hate the heat. Live in the Deep South and the heat combined with the humidity is awful. (Born and raised in Georgia and never could get used to it) In my dream world, it would never get out of the 50s, LOL. You might have to start growing your snaps as a winter crop! :o)

@@HappyCats17 My hubby was stationed in Texas so I heard about the humidity! My Dad was from Dinuba! Yes it is a small world. I start growing snaps in October and by February they are gorgeous. They stay that way until the heat hits.

Thank you for today. There is something quite satisfying to harvest seeds. I think it gives comfort and peace looking ahead to another season. No one Laura's mom appreciates the four seasons, as in her statues. I agree that without even cutting the flowers, there is beauty in this kind of growth. Wow, what a terrific amount of sunflowers. I hope some of these make it to a senior home, many here are just now allowing visitors with many restrictions though. They need visitors and the beauty of flowers.

You should get your compost system set up before doing the cut flower garden so you can start compost for next season.

I loved seeing the flowers in the cut flower garden the most 🌺🌼🌻...scabiosa,zinnia,snapdragons,strawflowers...💜💛🧡 How on earth do those snapdragons grow in summer when everything u read says they are a cool weather flower ie spring or fall ...maybe it's the variety Mdme Butterfly?

I totally wondered that about snapdragons! Ordered some same variety through Johnny seeds in hopes for it to continue to bloom for me next year through summers here in south. fingers crossed.
