I never leave comments, but had to share… I was looking for a portable version of my favorite pump (Spectra gold) when came across this video. I have the Spectra S1 and hate it (the suction is very poor), and the Willow is so painful I only use it in emergencies. I purchased the duette and I love it! The suction on the duette feels gentler than the Spectra gold, but in a side by side test of the duette and the Spectra gold I got the same amount of milk! I wish I had this sooner!!

I really want to like this pump, but Legendairy Milk is making it hard. The first pump they sent me randomly jumped from suction level 1 to 9 on its own, and couldn't be shut off. Ouch. I contacted customer service, sent them a video of the issue, and they sent me a replacement pump fairly quickly. Unfortunately the replacement pump also has issues. Sometimes it wont turn on at all, even though it is fully charged. Other times it just flashes a random 3 on the screen and does nothing. When I contacted customer service about the second pump they stated they wont help me until I send the pump back, which I fully intend to do, just haven't gotten around to yet (Full time working mom with infant, no family or help with the baby, recent broken water pipe flooded our house. Returning a broken pump didn't make the priority list...) Despite this being a cool pump, it seems like a lot of these pumps are faulty, so proceed with caution, particularly since they aren't covered by insurance. Additionally, the silicone flanges wear out quickly. I bought 3 pairs 6 weeks ago, have them on rotation, and already had to toss one due to low suction. I'm not even an EP'er. I left a polite but honest review on their website. It was never published.

13:42 Aetna covers 100% of this pump, FYI. I am seriously thinking of getting it. Do you think a portable pump is good as a main pump? I plan on breastfeeding and pumping to build a stash before returning to work (and continue pumping at work).
@NewLittleLife2 жыл бұрын
I think this is a good pump. Not all portable pumps are great for long term heavy use, but this is kinda a hybrid between a standard tabletop pump and a small portable one. The super genie the other one you were commenting on is also a great option. If one is fully covered vs not I think either way!

How do you feel it compares to the Pumpables Supergenie? I’m a FTM and was just getting ready to pull the trigger on the Supergenie. I feel at ends again since they’re both at the same price point, with the significant differences being the dual motor and one having an app. Thoughts?
@MrgnMichelle2 жыл бұрын
Yes I want to know this too!
@bayanb19262 жыл бұрын
I have the exact same question/decision to make!! Please make a comparison video!!
@bayanb19262 жыл бұрын
I’ll list the points the differences and similarities that I’ve already noticed and which I guess are determining factors for everyone else: both allow for cycle and vacuum adjusting and both have very similar possible cycle speeds for both let down and expression modes. In theory Pumpables can reach a higher suction level (330) while LM reaches around 270 but I agree with Allison in that 270 is already a very high level so I don’t take this as a difference between the two pumps. Both also have memory features. As for DIFFERENCES, aside from the obvious single/double motor feature, I think that the LM is portable and the Pumpables isn’t? Also, the Pumpables does have a 3 level night light which I like while the LM doesn’t, but then again do we need a night light for a portable pump? It would be a good addition because I’m not sure how bright and noticeable the touch display screen is at night. Lastly, Pumpables comes with an app while LM doesn’t. I think I’ve cleared it up a little for my own sanity but still confused as both have very powerful features with little differences 😅. I think a good determining factor would be comfort of their flanges (again, both brands offer silicone which have gotten a lot of great reviews).
@MrgnMichelle2 жыл бұрын
@@bayanb1926 Do you know if the LM is hospital grade as well? I know the Pumpables can reach higher suction but that’s max one side. When dual pumping, the power goes down working for both sides. However with the LM it’s max suction can be achieved on both sides with it being a dual motor.
@bayanb19262 жыл бұрын
@@MrgnMichelle I honestly don’t know, they don’t mention it anywhere! But that’s a good question when you think about the fact that LM’s highest suction level shouldn’t be compromised given the dual motor feature - does that mean that it’s also hospital grade by default since it will be somewhat stronger than Pumpables? I guess it depends on what the definition of hospital grade is.

you get replacements on the legendairy milk website. They should be replaced monthly, just like a regular duckbill. They are $11 for a pair, significantly more expensive than regular duckbills.
