@Oksana Gutierrez he’s half pembroke welsh corgi and half cardigan welsh corgi. it’s so much more work than I thought it would be. I knew it would be a lot but it has exceeded my expectations. It’s only been like 3 days and I’m so exhausted, I hardly get any sleep. I’m trying my best though! I’m most worried about introducing him to my cats tbh

We have two older dogs 10.5 and 11 years. We're getting a pup this winter but we checked with the vet first to make sure they were sound enough to handle the rambunctious energy of a pup. Neither dogs have arthritis and are still super active so the vet said, now was the time to get a pup if we were going to get one.

Wonderful video! I learned quite a bit. I struggle with giving up the pee, pee pads thought I’m taking them out often most times. At nights is the biggest temptation to have then use the pee pee pad because I don’t want the trouble of going outside at 12- 1 am. Thanks for your help in advising on get rid of the pee pee pad.

Great presentation! I like the part about kids forgetting to keep their hands close to their body and the effect of high pitch squealing. I have a granddaughter that I've explained this to a few times. Of course, she forgets quickly once our dog gets excited. Have you ever considered doing a brief video about this that's formatted and geared just to kids? That would be awesome! Something brief with an 'kid show' style background and some kids doing right and wrong examples? Might be a lot to try to do, but thought I'd run it by you. But kids will remember it more if they see it in a video. It would also help them not be mad at the dog when something goes wrong. Keep up the great work. THANKS!

My puppy get crazy around 8pm..refusing to calm down..keeps running and also barks
@HowToTrainADreamDog4 жыл бұрын
Zoomies are a real thing and typically happen to younger pups. It’s a short burst of energy that needs to be let out. You may notice zoomies happen in the evening just before or after dinner between 5-8 pm. It's best to clear a room or take the pup outside on a long leash to let them get rid of that pent-up energy. Zoomies are not something you want to correct, this would be like telling a hyper child they were bad and they need to sit in the corner. They aren’t bad and should be allowed to release that puppy energy. Pups will also have zoomies right after a bath as they feel fresh, clean and have tons of unnatural scents on them from the shampoos you used. This is also normal. During the zoomies just make sure they are safe and won’t break anything or crash into anything dangerous. If you think the zoomies are bordering on out of control or over-stimulation, it's best to have a cool-down period and/or let pup have a rest in the crate

hi, i wanna know some things about cavaliers. Can they stay alone 4 hours ? Do they bark a lot(i live in a apartament so it would be bad)? Do they sheed A LOT? And if you know a dog breed that can be alone for 4 hours or more,doesent bark and doesent sheed much..can you tell me ? i love you and hope your good and safe.
@HowToTrainADreamDog4 жыл бұрын
Almost all dogs can be left alone for 4 hours when they are mature enough. We have to respect their physical limitations as puppies. For example puppies can only hold their bladder about 1 hour per month of age. I am partial to Cavaliers as I have one but I love all dogs :-)

Hey! I have a 9 month old miniature poodle! He only barks when he is overstimulated, we also live in an apartment. A poodle doesn’t shed. They are very active dogs though that need a lot of mental stimulation because they are very smart!

M y 12 week old border collie mix was listening to me but suddenly started barking & snapping at me. I have no idea what she wants!
@sophiathieringer7234 жыл бұрын
give her a treat right when she does good, and she/he will learn that that's what you want! (not just right away though)
@HowToTrainADreamDog4 жыл бұрын
At 12 weeks we have a very energetic pup who needs some guidance and to be taught what behaviors you love so you see more of them from her. Be sure not to reward the barking behavior with petting, treats, or even praise or eye contact. Instead, ask for something she knows and reward the good behavior. The course I mentioned in the video is filled with step-by-step lessons to teach you how to train her.
