New Purchase: Uomo Intense by Valentino (2016)

The big hype train at the moment...is this DHI repackaged and starting the same hype train?

I own this fragrance and I also own DHI (vintage and reformulated). I agree, somewhat redundant if you own DHI. I prefer DHI, but to those who would ask me to choose between DHI or Valentino Uomo Intense, I think I would consider recommending Valentino Uomo Intense. Why? VUI doesn't have that more feminine lipstick vibe that DHI does have. Personally, I love DHI and don't care, but to others, they may prefer a more 'safer' option.

I've never had the original dhi. I have the latest one. I think they smell similar, but I have to give it to Valentino. (hands down) First. It just smells much nicer. I also never really got any compliments with dhi. This one though. First day, complete strangers, friends, family members. Everyone that I came into contact with, and I have over 100 fragrances, so people expect me to smell nice, and only comment when it's something that wows them. With that said. Sorry, but knockoff, or not. This stuff murders DHI!

DHI is not even that popular to girls.... so I dont know what are you talking about. i think a scent that only enjoyed by yourself is as pathetic as masturbation......most of american men found it smells so special though....maybe you can chat how beautiful and superior DHI is with men....sorry but i think your " guru"opinion is not even helpful

but you already own it now...muahahaha :) i gave thumbs up to dhi over this as well...that performs better and the smell is more mmmmmmmmmmmm...but i love this too..why not two dhi from two different companies :)

The original uomo is a beautifully blended soft and pretty perfume..

It's exactly like DHI at the initial application but don't be fooled, after it drys down it becomes a completely different fragrance. Carmel, sugary warm. I think it's a masterpiece and worth having it's better than DHI and I like DHI.

Co-worker wore Uomo and silage wasn't that great. I wasn't a fan of that scent. I have DHI reformulated but I think between the two I would pick Uomo Intense. Much more refined that DHI. It's on the buy list soon as it hits my favorite discounter.

The only note that I would really appreciate not being in V Uomo, that is in DHI is the pear note....to my nose it's off putting. Good review, I'll have to get my nose on this new release.

If the intense version is too much of a clone of DHI, what is it about original Uomo that you love, and don't you get the same feeling about it being too similar to Dior homme? Only smelled it once so can't really remember how the differ.

This fragrance has been the most confusing in terms of watching/hearing reviews. Some people are saying that it is a dry-non sweet scent more similar to DH edt.. or dior parfum.. Some are saying this is sweet and a lot like DHI. Seems to be split.. I gotta get a sample of this mofo to find out.. I trust your nose though so ill probably feel the same as you.

Thanks Paulie for coming by! It's a good scent however I just feel like the overall theme here is lacking.Valentino's new lineup has no real meat to it, it's just DH lineup in a different brand.

Tried it last night, your vid is the first I'm watching...had the exact same experience. Iris bomb with leather. Kinda nice and interesting at the top but I would never buy/wear it. SO, SO SICK of iris and leather bombs.

The New Formulation of DHI sucks it smells like a coca mess to me i would love to sell the vintage DHI but for me Valentino Uomo Intense is so much more wearable less cocoa playdoe and more sweet tonka ish but thats just my 2 cents Thanks Marc Review Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo next please!
