Stodeh I absolutely agree, the gun needs to be fixed. In part it’s IW’s fault for notoriously having game breaking bugs every update. But I get what other people say too - most DLC weapons are unusable in warzone! You tubers post endless videos on how the weapon is broken and insane and OP. Maybe what they were going for was some kind of dual system where the gun uses hitscan out to a certain distance (400m?) after which the gun changes to dynamic physics, it’s been done on games before and wouldn’t be too hard to believe since these guns shoot anywhere from 800-1000m/s. And I doubt they could accidentally add hitscan when all the guns use dynamics.

Well it has fixed a main problem if the multiplayer side of things. It’s finally a useable aggressive marksman rifle that feels good and is also consistent. Also also people rarely camp and hardsocpe with this one and they mostly playing extremely aggressively. It might be OP in Warzone but in Multiplayer, it’s just consistent and fast.

Ionlymadethistoleavecoments Yeah I agree with you on a couple of things. The kar98 is just, ok, and the carbine is indeed super quick but extremely unreliable even if you try to go for upper torso. R700 Being hitscan is crazy yes but it sincerely doesn’t matter in Multiplayer with the exception of ground war. If they are to nerf it, I think they should just decrease the bullet speed but just to an extremely quick speed. Anyways that’s not gonna happen. They will nerf this thing to the ground and we will all eventually move on to BO Cold War where snipers don’t weigh 37 kilos and we can actually have fun using them 😂

No man, the gun is literally broken, if you equip the norma or lapua rounds it takes 4 frames to hit the target at 400 meters. For reference it takes 14 frames for the hdr with the long barrel to do the same. Also with those rounds equipped there is no bullet drop, its basically hitscan

The issue for me isn't that this gun "isn't" broken, but the games overall gun balance is already off so why should I care? Warzone allows you to beam, full-auto, with machine pistols and AR'S at considerable range on the regular.

Fully agreed. This is what I've been saying. The whole meta has shifted away from snipers in general because an AR with a VLK scope can beam from sniper range. I think Truegamedata said that the tracer (which is usually the actual bullet) had the speed of the HDR bullet so even with an adjustment it would probably turn out to be a better HDR (with ammo longest barrel and suppressor) I hope they’ll make the dragoon barrel stronger than barrel and suppressor combined so there is a reason to use it except for attachment slot

I guess the reason people are turning a blind eye a bit more to this sniper being broken compared to all the other weapons is because how over shadowed sniping got lately with all the beaming ARs . Just put on the typical attachments on your Kilo, Grau, M4, M13 etc and you can pretty much challenge any sniper at 100-150m. Because for every shot your sniper misses, they'll put 3-4 into you with the AR which tends to mess up your confidence into that fight. So yes, it is broken, but I think it puts sniping into a more favorable/correct position when it comes to those long range fights.

I do not mind a gun that is over powered being balanced. That is for the good of the game and fun for the players. What I despise is when the game developers see youtubers being overly dramatic and then nerfing a gun into oblivion and then no one can use it anymore. Devs never seem to have a good in between state with their game's weapons nowadays. It's either to OP or stupidly useless. That is what happened in BF1 and BF5. No hate to you Stodeh. It's just that game developers always tend to introduce a broken gun in an OP way into a game, then everyone complains about it being broken, and then the devs trash the gun and it's useless for the lifetime of the game. The other reason it needs to be fixed is because of hackers. A hitscan/high fire rate sniper rifle is literally the jackpot and dream weapon of any hacker. It will not be fun getting hit scanned with aimbot/wall hackers from 400/500 meters away

I’m gonna be extremely sad if they either fix or nerf it. As someone who hates sniping, this is genuinely the most fun I’ve had with a weapon

The VAL is also broken, having some fun playing it for wall bangs, interesting to see if you can get any good fun shots on camera for that :) Just stick in the final mag and away you go.

the AV VAL sniper build wall bangs through literally anything, I've 1 tapped people through 5 walls in multiplayer

I'm not even a sniper type player and this rifle is the crippler. No attachments and it's always like a shotty.

The as val with the 10 round mags are broken. The bullet pen is op and goes thru almost any barrier.

I play multiplayer and rarely play warzone I don’t care of it gets nerfed I just want it to still have the same damage and be able to aim in fast because quick scoping with this is so much fun. I’ve actually enjoyed this game when using the complete quick scoping class
