Ice Yarns "Magic Baby" (2) Fine weight 100% Baby Acrylic (100 gr/360 m/ 393 yds/ 3.5 oz) per skein:
4 skeins #fnt2-50010 Baby Colors Multi or color of choice
Ice Yarns "Soft Touch Baby" (3) Light weight 80% Acrylic/20 % Polyamide (100 gr/ 290 m/ 317 yds/ 3.5 oz) per skein:
1 skein # fnt2-57383 Light Mint Green
Crochet Hook: US size H-8 (5 mm) or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 8 - 2 dc groups and 12 rows = 5 inches.
To modify the size of blanket use the stitch multiple of 2 plus 5. To make blanket longer repeat Row 2 to desired length ending on a even numbered row.

I love this pattern. Have made nany blanked with it. Actually it was one of the first blanked I made oh so many years ago (ahem 50+ years ago). The lady who taught me to crochet would say “split the V”

I actually used either an E or F hook,, and. A#3 Lion Brand Ice Cream yarn, and made a sweet preemie blanket. A second preemie blanket was done in white. The holes were very small, and OK. I usually use a textured closed type of stitch, but the small hook made all the difference.. PS.. It looks white to me, too. In any case, the border is really pretty.

Also.. Looks white to mr, too! 09/20/20 Getting ready to start a Rainbow Kisses Preemie Blanket... Will be using Lion Brand’s Ice Cream Yarn.... Colorway Parfait... There is no white..,just pretty well saturated pastels. I can’t wait to start working on it. I have used this stitch before, and I absolutely live the way it looks. I like this pattern and thinking about trying it with Red Heart jumbo yarn for my new great grandson. I was trying another SOW 242 but for some reason on my 2nd row the count was always incorrect and I have tried it several times. The rainbow kisses seems easier.
