New RALPHS CLUB ELIXIR First Impressions | Definitely NOT What I Was Expecting | Really an Elixir?

Starts slightly sweet/woody, then a little bit of orris kicks in for a while, then the incense kicks in, and finally you get a leather/woody drydown with incense. I absolutely adore this fragrance, and i dont like Society

I like the scent a lot for sure but the consensus on the channel from those who tried is that it is worth $100 or less, that it’s no where close to elixir performance, and that it smells like society mixed with (people have said Ombre leather, ultra male, dior Homme Parfum, ralphs club EDP) but every person has mentioned society. Yes it’s not the exact same but I knew it had society vibes as soon as I sprayed it on so I’m shocked to hear u don’t get those vibes at all especially saying sweet/woody and orris which is society’s dna as it was the most obvious comparison I could find between fragrances this year even tho I like this fragrance more than society. Either way glad u enjoyed it but I definitely don’t think it’s worth even close to $150 for a 75ml. I won’t reccomend until it’s on discounters even tho I’d say the scent itself is an 8/10

That's a shame, I didn't think much of Society, I mean it's fine but meh. Most of the Elixirs have been disappointing to me, I don't even think much of Le Male Elixir. Sauvage Elixir is the only one I've liked enough to bother buying. I do like Le Male Parfum though, so I'll give this one a try once it's in stores anyway.

On my hand I sprayed two sprays of the EDP which is stronger than the Parfum and on my other hand two sprays of the elixir. Maybe for the first 10-20 minutes the elixir pushes out more but it winds down shortly thereafter. I haven’t tested out how long it lasts but after about an hour and a half my wife and I could notice the EDP more than the elixir

New viewer and great review! I'm a woman who loves to smell men's fragrances but lately, they're all smelling alike to me. I'm wondering if this is due to the same perfumers working across different houses or if these scents are all being mixed at the same labs. No one seems to take chances with fragrances and even niche scents are beginning to smell similar to me. Seems like men are stuck with sweet, aromatic, woody ambroxan heavy messes these days.

Ya ur exactly right same perfumers using batch a b c and d and selling them to different houses. I just recorded a video about how over the years perfumers have gotten lazier and lazier and how 2023 has been the worst in a while

I wish RL would make their frags with a little more balls. All their frags kinda fall flat. Some of the good/great profiles within all their lines get no love because they don't perform. Sad. I got the Parfum back on Christmas 2022, and this one was like whoa, I was expecting a sweeter scent but I love the more of musk and masculine scent but a little sweetness. It kinda reminds me of Jimmy Choo Intense and Elixir Dior combined. Overall I can feel this is a great evening cologne, going out type of thing all year round. I noticed it definitely lasts a whole night so far. Been complimented on the scent, some actually thought it was Dior too.

Meh sounds like a pass for me and where I’m at on my collecting journey. Same with with the original and parfum. I would try society but doesn’t seem super special. You were right about Boisee it’s the best in line. I now like it more than prive.

I still want to get my nose on this, but it’s a little disappointing to hear this was a letdown for you. I’ve decided that the Parfum was pretty close to Y Le Parfum, and didn’t need the redundancy in my collection. I know you’re not a huge fan of Sauvage Elxir, but Dior set the bar pretty high for these Elixir concentrations.

So society is a nice easy wear of woods and vanilla. It’s just that it’s nice and I got it for $68. If this was that Price I’d be happy but it unfortunately is double + 10 bucks. So that’s how I’m weighing this Frag and for me while it’s good the price doesn’t add up

I don't feel like any of the new fragrance smell that familiar especially the one you mentioned are completely different. Carolina Herrera extreme smells nothing like I million royal or elixir. Polo no where near Calvin Klein refection. Maybe go back and give a second wearing. Polo red parfum is so nice some candy cranberry with leather feel in the dry down. just saying sometimes options change after a couple wearings.

So I’m not gonna take that as a negative comment mostly because I’m only like 1 of the 500 people who compared bad boy extreme to 1 million Royal. I’ve heard it on about 10 livestreams and we had a huge convo about it last week where everyone was taking about how the chocolate smells almost identical and I didn’t say the fragrance I said the chocolate. Also look on fragrantica as even tho that’s a crap source they also say that. Also I didn’t say red Parfum smells like eternity I said that red Parfum smells like 212 I love New York but the 212 is much better overall because instead of absinthe it has coffee and “THE ABSINTHE” in red parfum reminds me of “THE ABSINTHE” in eternity reflections not that they smells the same. Also polo red Parfum has legit 0 cranberry. It’s blood orange and pink pepper with a tinge of bergamot and maybe just maybe a very smal dash of cranberry in the very very first 2 minutes but that’s been the one universals thing across most of the Frag comm is that everyone was upset that they removed the polo red dna of cranberry and coffee being front an center. With that said I love the opening of red Parfum but it is my least favorite fragrance of 2023 because the absinthe in the drydown makes it feel green and fougerish and it smells really odd after about 30 minutes. I know a few reviewers I was on a livestream with agree with me the drydown is terrible but a few others liked it. I was the first reviewer to review pilot red and I wore it almost 20 times I will never enjoy that full fragrance unfortunately. But again I never said they smelled the same I said the chocolate and absinthe thing.

But maybe still worth a buy people just need to get there nose on it and see if its appealing to them. I actually prefer your Channel over Chaos and Gent scents. Thanks for all the good content.

Tried both Elixir and Parfum at Macy’s. I prefer the Parfum. Got the 5.1 oz (15% off), RL messenger bag, and travel spray for $150 total. Good deal imo

The reason I do first impressions and don’t let people know before I post them is because then people won’t watch the vids. It happens all the time. And for the full video I like to get multiple wears on them before I formulate an opinion on the full scent profile and again if I spill the beans now no one will watch the full review as a lot of people come to the comments looking for those answers. So since this is a new release that no one has reviewed yet I’m gonna keep that info closed doored until the review

Most clones that are worthwhile usually fall in the $40-$50 range on average with quality, scent, and presentation all being above average. No it’s good. But that’s all it is. Just like gentleman society and tbh I think it’s a bit better than gentleman society. But society I give a 7.5 and this probably a 7.7. And if we had to factor in price I got society for $68 plus tax which is more than half off the price of this. To charge chanel prices for only a 75ml I look at scent, uniqueness, longevity, projection, and quality. This fragrance smells good, isn’t very unique as it smells like other stuff, it’s called elixir but it’s not as strong as the EDP, and the quality is good for a designer. I think it’s a good $70-$100 pickup but for $140 it’s almost laughable
