Depends on substrate it is, they are seriously stupid so they can eat it sometimes, so a lot of the times people either put sand or just nothing.

The axolotl looks a little skinny so definitely feed him nightcrawler and for sure get some plants. Sand will also be a great substrate instead of a glass bottom for him.

@@MiniatureTheGuy I don't mean the little colored ones for like gold fish or a beta, I meant the ones that are like grape size that people use for turtles, frogs, eels ect. If those are still too small for this particular species I was not aware of it & appreciate the heads up. One good thing about social media is the ability to learn new things, info ect 👍🙏
