It is a Audio to sythersizor device using the 3D frequency Model taken from the input audio live or via sample into a new sythersised sound. For example I can use church bells as the input source sound and then select or input the sound of a clap, then then device will use the recording of church bells but instead of sounding like bells it now sounds like clapping but with all the characteristic and timming of the bell sample. Wow that was a long sentence lol.

What degree of certainty do you have? Do you actually know or is this a very educated guess? (really hope you are right!)

@@callesjonell5943 The videos visuals, audio combined with what Ryan and others said in them, its name and now the actual pictures of the device, finally its its name Objekt (Object) Modelling sythersizor. This pretty much is exactly what I said it is, there are other similar devices such as Substantia and Chromaphone Collision on the audio software and plugin market. You can check those two out to understand the concept of 3D modeling synthesizers however be aware that Reasons device functions are obviously not going to be the same as they always try to do something a little different.

I hope we get a wind type model as well as a string one. The Karplus-Strong and variations is great and all but there are a ton of them available, even Surge has a string modelled option for its oscillators. But something equivalent to the old Yamaha VL1 familyetc would be fantastic. Ok, I still have a VL70m module lying around but it’s a pug to programme and the editor now available looks great and everything but costs more than I paid in the late 90s for the module. Also, all my old hardware is gathering dust now that soft synths are so good.

I recently was reminded of chromophone 3 and figured this is Reason’s answer to that with some Reason innovations like the mod matrix and the external input. I like this. I try not to use too many VSTs with Reason. I have so much in Reason I don’t see the need to do so.

Glad it was helpful! Klang and Pangea are actually samplers (playing recordings of instruments), while my guess is that this actually is synthesizing the underlying sounds from scratch.

When they stop shafting us British, I might start buying from them again. U.S - Reason 12 $499 = £397 GB £499 When I buy other software, it automatically corrects the currency so the price is fair. We pay 20% more for reason stuff. It’s a disgrace really. They haven’t had a penny off me since Reason 10

@@kypresso4328 - That is a fair comment, but the same goes for Euro’s €499 is £437 where most of Europe have a comparable tax system. That’s still quite a saving from £499. We’re still getting hit more than anyone else. If everything I’ve purchased from reasonstudios was in euro equivalent prices, I would have saved a fortune. Europa is not that goood! Serum smashed it out of the DAW. If you said Friktion I would of said yes! But you didn’t. So I ain’t listening to you!
@StockMusicMusician Жыл бұрын
Well Serum is one of the best synths out there, but Europa is one of the better stock synths in a DAW. But Friktion and Algoritm are better.
@thedjjudah Жыл бұрын
Europa is just as good as Serum, the only thing that seems to get people about serum is its user interface. Yes, serum has more wavetables, yes serum is drag and drop. But Europa has way more modulation sources, and can do cool things that Serum can't. Can you draw your own wavetable in Serum? How about your own filter? Sure, Serum has more noise oscillators, but in Europa you can pitch, modulate, detune, and do a lot more to create your own custom noise. Serum (as far as I know) can't.
@silentsymphony2972 Жыл бұрын
@@thedjjudah ummm you said it. User interface is a much better on Serum! Aaaaaand Reason Studios went in the wrong direction with Europa! I have no idea why they couldn’t follow one of their own synths, Thor! Everything’s on one screen. None of this changing to different oscillators. That’s why I don’t like Europa! Oh yeah and you can upload your own waves tables to Serum and spend a million years making your own. But that’s pointless. The fact that with every device after Europa was better. All user friendly and nearly all on one screen! Friktion, Complex and Algorithm! Dwn! 🎤

Reason has one of the weakest Sequencer/Piano Roll/Arranger of any DAW you can get in 2023. Since music composition comes in a much higher priority before FX for me, that makes Reason a garbage software. All I can see from Reason Studios is year after year of consistent failure. I remember trying to convince them to make the sequencer better 10 years ago but it was like talking to a wall. At this point I can only feel bad for people who still use this software.

I agree that their #1 priority should be improving the DAW instead of adding new devices which third-parties are capable of creating. But that said, I doubt it's the same team that does core DAW work and synth design.
@sekritskworl-sekrit_studios Жыл бұрын
@@StockMusicMusician That's fair. I merely feel that their entire development team needs to be re-allocated to bring them up to the "current standard" instead of loading lead and gold on what is becoming an increasingly sinking ship. The market dictates value, and it feels as though they have some "fantasy driven" ideal that their hopes, dreams and ideals are of greater value to the market than the actual demands from the same market. Know what I mean? Reason Studio's creation of additional skus on a platform which isn't accessible to all users of the 2 Major OS is like their version of "Waves Subscription"... Only so many will tolerate it... For "How long" (I feel) is the "question".
