Props to this guy, driving a real man's car. My dad used to drag his 69 Camaro at the track back in the 70s. Had a bored out LS6 454 with a 4 speed and got into the 9's. Currently working on my own 69 Camaro with a 4 speed. Nothing beats running through the gears.

I'd go with a 383 ethier that or a 5.3l or 6.0l gm truck engine ethier the lq4 or lq9 heard that's what everyone's doing for a budget build these days heard they can hold a lot more power then the ls engines

This was done years ago with a six speed f body... It was a 3.8 liter v6 twin turbo setup. Not a record breaker and he needed two more cylinders !!

good job bro, don't listen to anybody that tells you you cant make it work with a stick! I have a 8 sec duster with a jerico and a small block and like you said it takes a lot of tuning the clutch and suspension to get it to work but its worth it in the end. good luck with it.

My first cousin was a pro 5.0 racer and when he stopped racing he made his car street legal with a five speed and it would pull a wheelie too, I loved the looks on peoples faces when we went by on two wheels. Well legal all but the nos. But he never ran no where near this fast he was usually in the high 9's on slicks. Street tires it would do low tens which is fast for a street car. But props to this guy his car is a beast.
