Pushed mowed almost half of Mom's 2.5 acres. Why? The Redmax RZT 48 zero-turn mower I bought in September 2019 is back in the shop. This time, the bolt holding the idler pulley broke. Amarillo Outdoor and Power Equipment has to wait for warranty approval from the manufacturer. Saturday will be 3 weeks I have been waiting. Last year, I lost 3 weeks of use when the starter solenoid had to be replaced only 7 months after I bought the machine. I THINK I GOT A LEMON.

We're sorry to see you've had issues with a RedMax mower. As with any new machine, sometimes issues arise that are out of everyone's control. That being said, warranty is usually very responsive and quick to approve or deny claims for us at least. We also have a multi level queue that helps get our customers back out on the lawn faster. This is the order of customers that dictate how fast we get to their unit. In peak times it could take 2 to 4 weeks sometimes longer for queue 4. Queue 3 could take 1 to 2 weeks. Queues 1 and 2 take from same day to a few days depending on how many have come in and part availability. Our commercial customers always come first as this is their livelihood. 1: Commercial who bought from us. 2: Commercial who has yet to buy from us. 3: Residential who has bought from us. 4: Residential who has not bought from us. This allows us to streamline our operations in an attempt to get our customers in and out as fast as possible. Not very many if any other dealership implements this.

Can you tell build date from the serial number?

Sorry for the late reply, did not see your comment until now... Yes. RedMax serial numbers begin with the date of manufacture. The following is how the serial numbers are decoded. They are in the following format; MMDDYY, then assembly line letter, followed by the sequence number for that model series. Some units we get in are built one after the other in sequence. Which is kind of cool. They're basically sister units in that instance.

It's almost 100% pz Husqvarna, paint, decals and rear engine guard are the only difference. Pz's are the best mowers made, so yes this is a great mower, I do prefer the pz's look though.

This is for all the landscapers out there. We would put this mower up against any commercial grade zero turn on the market today. But why Redmax instead of Scag, Exmark, Toro, etc. I will tell you. FLEET. When a commercial customer comes in and purchases a commercial grade zero turn, they have the option to build a fleet package and can save 20% not only on their initial purchase, but they can also save 20% on any piece of Redmax equipment they purchase for the next 2 years!!!!! It is a great deal. Even better is the Fleet of One rebate we just had. You get the benefits of the aforementioned fleet program. But you only need to buy one ZTR. $1,100 off the CZT series and $2,100 off the CZTx series. It's a heck of deal.
