You are spot on. Some are fire and some are fire 🔥. I got a quite a few of these boxes noticed what you said. A few boxes had skenes and Jordan beck image variation. Other boxes had nothing worth mentioning

I appreciate your honesty on the centering issues. Most rippers will open this and say wow beautiful cards, as I’m looking at an off centered card. I grade so that’s something I always look at. I’ve opened a couple hobby boxes and a couple mega boxes and all the good cards like Skenes or Elly are off centered. Not worth sending to PSA to get them graded. Thanks for sharing!

Completely agree, boxes are either loaded or bare bones. Opened two and one box had x-fractors of Skenes, Holliday, and Merrill, and a Diamond Dominance of Holliday. The next box had absolutely nothing at all. Looking forward to you ripping the rest of these, there'll be some bangers in there.

Got 3 of these and my first pack was the peak: 5 cards, no base, an aqua raywave, a Prism Refractor, a Gavin Williams HFA, Skenes Xfractor, then another common Refractor. That box had 2 aqua raywaves. Also got Elly and Shota debut Xfractors. None of the Jacksons or other big rookies except one Langford. If I hadn't had that one pack...

I agree, based on the retail price, these are going to be tough to profit on. I believe this is the set that the 1/1 Paul Skenes Rookie Debut Patch comes out of, and there is a HUGE bounty out there for it if you haven’t heard. Huge!!

I opened 1 mega and hit chourio true rookie raywave, Merrill true rookie X-fractor, rafaela rookie debut xfractor, Wyatt langford rookie debut xfractor and yamamoto rookie debut xfractor. No numbered though or even base skenes

It’s unfortunate. I appreciate that they want to provide “more value” with beefing up the parallels that you wouldn’t normally get guaranteed in a blaster box. But, this is a blaster box, through and through with a $15 price increase and no chance to pull MVP buybacks. I wish they would have split the difference of monster and blaster like the price is intended to represent, but keep it at 40 cards. More parallels and total cards than a blaster, but with blaster odds instead of monster box odds on everything to keep the price in the middle at $50 instead of needing to charge $65 like regular chrome monster.

Good advice on being careful with the product. I did a break of Breakers Delight, then grabbed a single hobby pack at a card store and hit a black refractor of Jeimer Candelario/10. After seeing videos and observing how rare a black refractor is, I am not going to push my luck, even if it was just a journeyman vet. Lol

I won't be getting the Topps Chrome Update because here in Spain they only sell hobby boxes and the cheapest are being sold for 220 euros, shipping for retail boxes from the USA is expensive, so I have to settle for some stadium club and regular chrome update.

QC definitely not great. Print dots, lines, and top bottom centering issues. Pulled a jackson Merrill refractor with no top border at all. Opened 6. 1 numbered auto, 1 gold /50 1st box. Next 5, nada.

For me in the PNW, as a lifelong baseball fan the 30 years season tickets would be amazing, and I would love every minute of it, but never doable if I were fortunate to pull it.

A little wish and not a big thing. I like the top saying mlb all star game, but it would be cool to see on the bottom corner of the all star cards it had some type of logo for the different teams like an NL and AL logo

It bothers me how much they printed of the mega boxes. Over 300,000 boxes and over 17,000 x-fractors for each player is just too many. I want dart throws, and 28 dart throws for $50 feels just wrong.

I'm going to pass on buying Chrome altogether going forward (except Platinum Anniversary, assuming they don't cut it). Topps/Fanatics have all but priced out the retail buyer and you're not getting a good bang for your buck now at that price point with the lesser amount of cards.

Oof. The only thing that's selling these are the debut patches. Looking at the openings I've seen it's a terrible product even in the hobby format. I don't think your horse shoes will save you on these.😅

22 update chrome had all the hype and was an awful product. Quality control was the worst I’ve ever seen and it has a great rookie class. It could of been legendary but biggest flop ever
