I think you should explain to people who might be trying to help a cat that needs it so they can bring it to a safe haven, and that don't understand- grabbing a cat by it's scruff doesn't hurt them. It actually sort of immobilizes them. That how mama carried them around. I just think that more cats would be at least brought to the humane society if people knew how to handle a cat.
