I suppose that makes sense but he was the main one to be involved in the recent trilogy so it would make sense for them to run with him as the main character especially with how RE8 left off

maybe after the main game capcom will release a true ending DLC that they're both alive :) don't know but i'd love to see them for at least 10 more games :)) and who knows the protagonist could be Hunk or Jake Muller :))) even just cameo or play small part like Chris from RE8 would be enough for me. also, i think the antagonist will be Brandon Bailey

Zombies with weapons is actually more in line with RE6 and Vendetta not 4-5 becuase those games had plaga infected.

I liked the idea of it being in Tokyo/Japan. The new rumors just sound like the same old boring environments found in all the other games.

How were the other environments boring? Re1/0 Spencer Mansion/Arklay mountains Re2/3 Racoon city Code Veronica Miliatry base/Antarctica Re4 Rural Spain Re5 Africa Re6 US/Europe/China Re7 Lousina Bayou Re8 Eastern Europe/Romania None of these environments are remotely similar and weren’t boring.

I said the environments in the rumors sound boring because we've already played them in other games. Hospitals, caves, laboratories, temples have been done to death in not only RE games but other Horror games as well.

Tbh if they bring leon or jill as the protagonist/playable character it wont be best survival horror experience anymore it would be action horror instead since both of these character already been through worst shit in their previous game so I would prefer a new character instead for example likes ethan winter we dont know who tf the guys is..and he didnt know what tf he about to face in the bakers house thats alone make the survival horror experience much fun and enjoyable at certain degree which the character we played didnt know whats coming for them as much as we do
