You should definitely go watch Night of the Comet from the early 80's

I love when people show these hooks off in person. I never would have realized how prominent that blue-purple color could be in them from the website pictures. So thanks for that. I love anything nautical and ocean-related, so I was really debating with myself getting all 8 sizes even though I don't really need them. Thankfully saw this reminder before the sale expired today. I saw the sale a few days ago and nearly bought them then, but held off to think about it. Just checked, and the 9mm is sold out and I have basically never used a 7mm, so that plus the sale made it an easy decision to get the other six sizes (which I do use). (Fun fact, if you used the "all 8 sizes" button while the 9mm was still available and added another hook to make it 9 hooks, the B2G1 deal did NOT apply, even though you'd have a number of hooks in your cart divisible by 3. You needed to add each one individually. I do think they should fix that.)

I wish i could enjoy all the new resin designs - i got a few zodiac ones, but for me as a pencil grip crocheter the furls handle turned out to uncomfortable. I can see why it would be good for the knife holders.

Agreed! As a pencil holder they don't work but they are beautiful ❤️

I only got into Furls in the first place because I bought a whole set of Clovers when I first started crocheting (on the recommendation of MANY people), only to discover that the handles cause me terrible pain. (Like to the point of my hand going numb!) As pretty as the Furls hooks are, I wish my hands liked cheaper hooks than these babies.

Those are SO pretty! I love the ocean, so these are really calling to me! What books have you been reading about the ocean?

I have been waiting for mine to arrive I bought three. 😊 There is an ocean book sort of , that stars Lizzie Borden as an experimental biologist. She is diabolical.

I’d love to see a lime green metal hook. What is a good holder for a single hook for travel bags? I’ve been on the hunt.
@xCombixGirlxКүн бұрын
and a nice purple too!
@AltKnotsКүн бұрын
That would be incredible!💚 Normally I use Furls single hook holders. Really any sort of small notion bag that has an extra lining to protect the hook could work
@victoriawood1885Күн бұрын
@ I thought about crocheting my own too. Just add extra padding inside my padded notions bag.

Someday I’ll try a resin furls. The nice shiny metal one was heavy and uncomfortable. So pretty though.

The only reason I had the resin ever squeak on me is because my tension was super tight. I guess I was stressed or tense while trying to crochet, so I just consider a tension alarm.😅

I love my resin furls! But the metal ones are so heavy, it doesn’t work well in my hand. 🤔

It’s from Alpenglow Yarn. They do custom resin swifts that are really amazing

Does the hook info on the actual hook fades away from using it too much? I always wondered about that.
@AltKnotsКүн бұрын
I haven’t had any fade. It’s sort of carved out in the resin and then the number is painted on.

I wanted to love furls but it just doesn't work for me, the neck is too long and I don't like the head to be inline. 😢

Literally just unboxed my red "h" metal, so sexy. I wish I could do resin and wood, just to slow and sticky for myself.

I dropped my 4mm resin hook and the hook part snapped off 🥲 I decided to just get metal for those smaller sizes
