I’ve heard through a mate that 3x3 has been confirmed to be just for the starter set. Apparently said on a Facebook comment by the middle earth manager.

Lovely models. I've got some rohirrim and wanted to make a big rohan vs isengard force for a long time, looks like this will be a great way to start a rohan vs isengard/dunland force. Lots of conversion opportunities for the heroes too, Elfhelm, anyone?

Do you know when this will be out? Cant wait for some more rohan sculpts! I only have 12 warriors because im not too keen on multiples. I have way to many rohan riders (20+) and i have a hard time trying to make them look incoherent by swaping weapons, horse poses and colours.

Ofc 3x3' will not be the new regular battle size. GW always have smaller map sizes for beginners to make it easy and accessible. But for proper Matched Play you would want larger to accommodate greater forces and more diverse ranges of engagement.

Yeah they've since said 3x3 won't be the norm but haven't said it will be 4x4. Hopefully it's a middle ground like a 3x4

So at the time of recording it looked that way, since then they've said "we'll have more details to come" and 3x3 is just for the starter set. So could be 40k sized or 4x4 🤷‍♂️

3x3 is a tournament game.. its a “lets play but my mum wants me home in an hour “ Not my style Im more Six to ten buddies meet for an all day slug fest Played on 13 X 5 table made with four doors But no one has time for that..
