Hi Kristin always great reviews on the phone cases. Another great review here. I do have a question you mention that the regular plastic back has a little more grip then the leather version. I would have thought the leather would have been more grippy. But good to know that is not the case. I’m thinking of ordering a solidsuit now I really don’t think I need to do the customization it does look very cool though. I’m thinking of instead of the plain backing was going with one of there custom prints. Would you know if I choose one of the prints would it have a nice grippy feel to it. You mentioned that the leather was not as grippy as the regular plastic back. Just not sure if you meant just the same plain back was gripper or if the custom prints would be gripper sorry I hope this makes sense. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks 🙏

Hi! Nice to hear from you again. So, I have lots of experience with both the plain 'classic' SolidSuit cases as well as the ones with graphics on them, and both versions are nicely grippy. Most definitely grippier than the leather version, the faux carbon fiber, or any of the wood backed SolidSuit cases. The graphics cases are outstanding, in my opinion. So many great designs to choose from! The only time you are going to have less grip with the graphics cases, as far as I know, is when the design covers the entire back--as is the case with the custom text case shown in this review (the blue one with the 'Kristin The Tech Reviewer' text on it). The blue background is a sticker that is essentially covering up the entire back of the 'classic' back, taking all the slightly tacky grip away from the back, leaving you with only the textured sides for grip. But if you don't choose a custom background color, the custom text cases should be nicely grippy, and the same goes for the classic cases (non leather) with the premium stamping... Good luck!!

I'm interested in getting the custom prints but I'm also a big fan of pop sockets and I'm not sure if the pop sockets would rip off the print because of their adhesive. Do you know if this would be a problem?

I don't think they would, but I've never left a popsocket on a SolidSuit case for very long--I'm not sure how it would do long term...

Rhinoshield case are good but it is very slippery Are mous case (leather) slippery?

RhinoShield SolidSuit is much less slippery than it used to be. They added texture to the case sides, and if you choose one of the classic plastic backed cases, or one of the graphics cases, the back is also rather grippy as well as it has a slightly tacky feel to it. As far as Mous is concerned, I haven't reviewed their leather version, but their wood and carbon fiber cases are rather slippery. Comparing the RhinoShield wood and faux carbon fiber cases to the Mous wood and carbon fiber cases, they are pretty similar in amount of grip--I think RhinoShield SolidSuit is slightly better, but not much. However, if you compare the SolidSuit graphics or classic cases to the Mous cases, the SolidSuit graphics and classic cases have noticeably more grip.

Hi Alan. This review was for the SolidSuit, which is a one piece case. The ModNX is the one which can switch between a bumper and a full case with the addition of a removable backplate. Hi Brooke! Some of the SolidSuit cases featured in this video (the ones toward the end) feature the custom photo product. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHLWZIWVYpWFbLM I was really impressed with the results of the custom photo process--I had been worried that the photos would look low resolution or have other issues, but there were no issues. I had three cases made with my photos: two with single photos covering the whole back of the case and one with a series of three stacked vertical photos covering the case back and I was very pleased with all three.
