Suggestion to the Rion CEO, I would recommend starting producing a model like the equivalent of an enduro BMW GS with a motorbike. Where a person can use it off-road and on-road with fantastic power and great dumpers. As much i want to order a Rion for the UK (6K£) R70 with duty + VAT. This scooter will eb hardly usable in London. The roads are full of bumps and speed hills. I have been riding a motorcycle for 15 years from super fast street motorbikes to BMW R1200GS . I loved the GS because was the motorbike i could use every day from long journey with whatever road. While I do understand why they are producing only scooters for road, but if they wish to scale and sell more items to a wider range of users they should really think to start producing the KTM of the scooters. I am thiking to buy the RION and do myself the modification necessary to allow the scooter to work well off road on on road

So I’m finally part of Team Rion. Thanks to your help, and of course i ordered via your provided link. I think its important to note that they did mention after purchase that and I quote “we do not offer trade ins as each scooter is custom made”. That was a little discouraging considering I’ve heard on more than one vid including this one from the owner himself that you can essentially upgrade. So I’m wondering if they changed their policy. They still offer upgradable components in the near future so that’s fine i suppose. And i was under the impression that the phone mount was something that either came with the scooter or an accessory that you can opt out for.

Alien Rides Hope so personally to me I prefer my scooter to be heavier because it just feels safer. To have some extra weight keep you grounded to the road can be good thing it could add more stability when going at fast speeds. If I had to choose between portability and stability I would sure choose stability first. That’s why having different sizes can be good thing cause it offers customers more variety to choose from, and it diversifies the brand as well. Guys I am thoroughly impressed with the engineering and design behind your RION scooters, opening up the programming side is the top of the cake for most! Going to single esc for dual motor control was a very smart choice! Which FoC are you using? Ever contemplate working with Grin Technologies to develop an even more serious controller and motor combo! What cells are you even using, they sound great!? Not still using round cells I hope? Pouch cells are a far better use of space for their current delivery in comparison! That app looks absolutely beautiful by the way! P.s I want to compete with you with modified Chinese scooters much like Lyen and the Ebike guys did with the big boys back then ;)

@AlienRides4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's only got rear suspension, but it actually feels really good at speed. Just don't hit a pothole 😬
@rockefelleragent13574 жыл бұрын
I learned that scooters with firm suspension (like the Rion) with less than full PSI on the tires can absorb bumps pretty great, almost better than full pressure tires with full suspension on Chinese scooters. When you travel at 40 mph the scooter will go right over the potholes easily without damaging your suspension or the forks at all. It's almost pleasant feel going over them as I go over potholes at those speeds almost all the time on the street sharing with the traffic. You can (and you should) also jump over bumps (bumps connecting the road and bridge, or even rail road tracks) that you can't avoid. This way you get to save your brakes and keep your scooter suspension healthy. So you really don't have to depend on generic scooters that have full suspension like the Kaabo Wolf Warrior or Zero 11xs have.
