NEW Rocket Espresso Appartamento TCA - Crew Review

I've owned a Rocket appartamento since 2018. I disagree with part of the comment. The factory extraction pressure was about 11 bars. I set this pressure to 9 bars (by putting a pressure gauge on the head of the group), it's very easy to do and there are videos on YT that explain how to do it. I can attest to a qualitative gain in cup quality. I've also lowered the pressure to 1 bar (in fact it fluctuates between 1 and 1.1 bar). Despite this, there's enough steam (but I don't make many milky drinks anyway), so no worries. For the type of coffee I drink, it's perfect.

100% my appartamento was 11.5 at least when I got it. OPV adjusted down to about 9 when pulling a shot

Does this machine have a rotary pump or an option for it? I don't generally like the amount of noise vibratory pumps give. Thanks!

Hi, i want to know if the machine has a real PID controller or its a system based on the boiler pressure.

Thanks for watching and commenting! The TCA uses the same temp probe as the Mozzafiato. It is a PID but the temperatures are preset to the low, medium, high, and very high settings.

Why on earth would Rocket add a PID and then hamstring it in the way that they have on this machine? I get it that for many, simpler is better, but why give away performance in this fashion? Also, for a machine in this price class, a shot timer and brew pressure gauge should be included. Function should have been provided along with the Form that Rocket worked so hard to provide. A hard pass.

If they would combine these new design elements with the Cronometro Mozzafiato R, that would be the perfect combination. I really like the look of the new TCA but the features and rotary pump in the Mozzafiato R just make more sense. It's too bad you can't get a combination of both.

Sean this videos are so boring. All u do is talk instead of actually showing on the machines what you are talking about. Do better. That is what made this channel so much fun back when Gail was here. You guys are so robotic now and super boring. After years of following this channel I think I will be unsubscribing soon 🔜 f things don’t get better which I know matters none to you but as a long time subscriber it is pretty sad for me.
