Just grabbed this today and the sensitivity is way better. I can play with my hands easily and the edge triggers are so more responsive even at flatter angles with the stick.! Cheers for the vid, I learned a bunch of stuff and some nice tips.

Everyone is talking about basic features. Can you please talk about loop? I bought one, can not find following must have features. Can you please answer? 1. Sync tempo (kit) 2. Tempo match ( for different BPM loops)

I bought, registered, and contacted Roland Support wondering why loops weren't syncing to master tempo. Turns out they removed that feature to enable others. I rely on this for live performance and ended up returning the unit.

Only few questions : 1) Is it possible to lanch a musical song (to 1 minute or 10 minutes) and play over it ? 2) Is it possible to import 10 or 20 or 30 musical songs (to 1 minute or 10 minutes each) and lanch each like to play on stage and perform a gig where I play on this music ? 6:18 how is it possible to work from the pro app without the Spd-sx pro plugged in via USB? When you open the app on desktop it seems you HAVE to connect the Spds Pro for the app to even open?

I just wrote to Roland - they say you can't use the app without the SPD-SX Pro connected... So doesnt make any sense!

There is no ability to load data from an external source--the SPD has to be connected; therefore, there is no ability to do offline editing. However, unlike the SPD-SX, when the pad IS, connected you can edit on the app or the pad unit at the same time--everything updates bidirectionally. It would be nice if they could add this capability as a future enhancement. The 3rd party SPD-SX Editor software does provide this capability for the SPD-SX.

@@ChrisWhittenMusic mostly for pre-production purposes i guess. It would be nice to have the ability to program new sounds etc on the computer.. Ex if your on your way to a gig or a rehearsal and dont have your SPD-SX Pro right at your side, you could do all the work on your computer beforehand and when you arrive at rehearsal or a gig just load it all in!

What I hate about the Roland is that the controls are beneath the pads. I much prefer the Nord Drum 3P placement even though is is not background lit 😜

Buggy Beta! Wont accept .wav files, freezes up for no reason. Lots of percussion sounds, not much in the way of melodic content. Pad sequencer is limited to one sequence per kit. Sounds cut off when changing kits. Too expensive for what you get.

It imports wave files aiff and mp3 and convert it automatically to 16bit wav 48Khz. Your USB Flash must be formated inside spd-sx pro. Your issue on drop out sample, is only in particular way, when individual FX when enabled only not on master FX. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp-5gYCYgZmbppI

Not in my experience. I borrowed one for a week and pushed it with multiple wav imports, backing tracks etc. It never froze, wavs loaded seamlessly, Sounds never cut off.
