a wide toe box is important but the last thing you want with foot issues like plantar fasciitis is a thick or stiff soles.. you want exactly the opposite you need a very flexible sole because your feet are not flexing enough that is what is causing the foot issues.. companies like Xero shoes offer excellent flexibility with a wide toe box.. I am a licensed therapist and Craniosacral therapist I work on professional athletes, yoga, pilates instructors, professional chainsaw carvers and regular clients..

@@TheRykerDane ..Xero shoes has excellent information to explain why "comfortable" shoes will make your feet more sore.. I went through the process of changing my footwear over the last 10 years to fix the issues I was having but recently discovered Xero shoes.. I really like their Teraflex model I bought 3 pairs.. they work extremely well for me I have a wide foot..

They do not sell bigger than size 12 UK / 13 US so no good for those of us with big wide feet.

Really wow, I actually have worn them a bunch and have started using them as work around the yard shoes too and they are still working good, just dirty
