Roybi is stepping it up for Kobalt. I'm already so deep in Kobalt I can't switch to Ryobi. I actually just bought yesterday the 8ah battery was on sale yesterday 99$ and picked up the Kobalt spotlight with it. I am digging that heater Ryobi though I'm in NY so would come in handy hope Kobalt makes one. Thanks for sharing always enjoy the content 😁👍

I used to think the same about keeping it 1 brand and being so invested in it but then I came across a BOGO deal on a 2nd brand of tools with free battery and charger. From then every tool purchase becomes easier because you'll have 2 brands to choose from based on specs, price or just personal preference. And more important you won't have the dilemma about waiting on a tool that may never come or you need like yesterday. Thankfully Ryobi is on sale pretty often.

@@engineer_alv Right now I have Kobalt and Makita I do think Ryobi makes a great product and some cool tools. But from personal experience with a lot of contractors when you show up with cheap tools they unfortunately look at it as they can pay you less (pretty messed up but true) so I keep most of my Kobalt stuff for my personal use. I got Makita to justify a higher pay grade. Oh why are you worth such and such. Because I have 10s of thousands of dollars in high quality tools my miter saw alone is 1000$ and I do know how to use them. Then I usually tell them I can save them some money on my pay by not bring tools but productivity will suffer greatly and that usually works and if it doesn't then I probably didn't need to work for them anyway lol.

@@zombieapocalypsecherokee9224 that's too bad about being tagged or judged by the tool brand you show up with. I'm just a DIYer so I didn't know about that.

The psbiw25 compact brushless impact wrench looks so good, but personally it doesn't seem like a good value to me when the high torque has an MSRP of $159 and the mid torque is $129 ~ $139. I know being Ryobi it may go on sale a few months after release because that's how they work most of the time, but for the time being the value just isn't there. Some other brands have a wider price bracket among their impact wrenches. Personally I went with the mid torque

Ryobi tools are a mixed bag with me. Their drills, impact drivers, sanders and most lawn care tools are good. However in my experience their saws, both AC and cordless are terrible and their nail guns are literally hit and miss. Battery performance was terrible but has improved greatly over the past couple of years. Despite my reservations I will most likely stick with Ryobi as I already have so much invested in their infrastructure.
