What was bandai tamashi's thinking?! They are reusing the 2019-2021 mold for godzilla! Not even evolved?! And Kong?! Repaint good, but the head sculps are so bad, and they didn't even give him a B.E.A.S.T. glove! These two figures are the worst of all the SHMA. This is why Hiya Toys are better!

Yeah... I'm with you. As much as I hate we are getting repaints.. the reality is that this Godzilla is definitely the one to get to replace the original one that had toothpaste lol that's pretty much what I'm doing...especially with a atomic accessory. But this is what we should have gotten from the beginning. Bandai working backwards and are definitely desperate because they're giving us a main accessory that they've refused to in all the Godzilla releases in the past years.

2014 had a completely seperate sculpt from 2019. 2021 was mostly a repaint but was thinner and taller. There is nothing wrong with this repaint as long as it doesn’t exceed 60 bucks

i think that SH is trying to do something similar to GvK, where they released Godzilla and Kong, and Mechagodzilla soon after, my guess is that they're going to release their pre-evolve/pre-upgrade versions before the movie, and a little before the movie releases, they're gonna leak the evolved godzilla, thano- i mean kong with beast glove, skar king, and shimo (i bet skar king and shimo will release a bit after the movie just like mechagodzilla)

Ok i think they look good, but i just don’t see why they couldn’t have just given the original 2021 the beam effect. The kong looks fine but i think they should’ve given him more fur on his back. To play devils advocate I think it’s fine that they’re releasing them later as i assume they’re doing the same thing as they did for mechagodzilla in 2021 where they wait for the movie to come out to release the rest of the figures (hopefully).

tho unlike mechagoji, for 2024 a lot of the new stuff is already revealed and not even try to remotely be a surprise. at least if diet goji and infinity gauntlet kong issa later release, scar king should be in this announcement. his existance would probably overshadow this two. I can see why no shimo, but no scar king? c'mon. and to think playmates had (possibly) released all character to hype up the movie

my opinion i like the Godzilla 2021 version than this newer one because the 2021 Godzilla has the greenish color to it and it doesn't pop off that many parts but this newer Godzilla is like the same one from the rest of the Godzilla (2019, 2021, and special colored one) but repainted. just simply paint the internal mouth if the Godzilla 2021 to make it look realistic.

I hate how people are say "Hiya toys will save us" or "Hiya toys is better" when it's not that true. SHMA is not worse than hiya they both do better than each other in certain aspects but this doesn't mean that one is better than the other. SHMA did just make a huge fumble and people are acting like hiya is perfect and will never mess up when it's bound to happen that hiya messes up. SHMA will probably make evolved Godzilla and a better Kong and hopefully a scar king soon so just be patient and realize that they are both great figure lines and will both mess up stuff like this!

This is honestly disappointing in every way except for some detailing in the figures. They literally reused the same figures from GVK. Where is Godzilla evolved and the B.E.A.S.T. Glove Kong? @@kinggodzillaproductions4275 i'd collect Hiya toys too, problem is i am in Europe, not only finding stores that carry them is hard AF importing them adding all the import taxes and stuff id i order them from outside the EU i end up paying as much as an SHMA, the biggest difference is quality. But SHMA comes down to always resorting to educated purchases, watch reviews see what people are saying, if the figure has too many QC issues it's a no buy. if the figure's issues can be fixed you can always draw out the gunpla modeller inside you and fix them yourself. I've already repainted my Biogoji's eyes and they turned out really well.

Fine, reuse the main body for Kong. But at least sculpt new heads and add some fur fur piece for body. They can do the same thing as Furay Planet's Veteran William for the extra thicc fur on the back upper back and shoulder. They can also just added a bit of a beard to the old head sculpt 3D model to save budget. At least if they're not making the beast glove variant yet, put in some effort to justify its existance. 2021 Goji issa lazy release for a new movie, and probably the only reason they even have it in atomic breath color is so that ppl who can't afford the 2019 poster ver to but it. This one, the "2024", is redundant, unnecessary and unwanted. At the very elast they can pull off what Hiya did when they release a 2nd atomic breath Goji of the same mold, make it transluscent. This, is just 2021 with 2019 head. They didn't even bother with updating the breath effect part. Take note from your competitor, use a rod inside. Ppl's SHMA 2019 Goji's atomic breath had droop after a while, while my Hiya Goji's atomic breath remain in the same state despite me doing an angled poster/awakening pose (cuz I couldn't have it at a complete straight up pose) ever since I got it and not even using support. Seriously, don't buy this. The reason why this kept happening is bc ppl buy repaints back then, and it became the genesis of this. Yes, repaints are part of a toy company business model, but take notes from Hiya, keep it in canon looks, make the sculpt well-loved by everyone, then you milk the shit outta it. Can't they at least make the head looks more accurate for Goji. Just something, anything to justify its release, like Gamera Kyoto battle ver. before it
