@billytheboy72538 жыл бұрын
I guess this is a new driver, so a few safety tips... Once you make a "connection" with the trailer, always do a double tug with the unit to make sure the fifth wheel has closed and never connect your Suzie's without putting the safety clip in.. Never jump off the truck, I know he is in a yard, but if this was a road with traffic, he could have jumped into a moving car. I saw a driver killed that way a few years ago. Also.... before even hooking the trailer, He should have made sure the trailer brake was on, and the "shunt button" wasn't engaged, as he would have pushed the trailer backwards... If you are a new Driver, hooking and dropping a trailer is one of the most important and dangerous procedures in the job, and if you miss any of the steps, you will find yourself in a world of shit. Always do the same steps, the same way every time and it will be become second to you and never get distracted by other things or people until you have finish the full procedure.
@billytheboy72538 жыл бұрын
***** We all have to start somewhere my friend and at least you didn't drop it, get hurt or bust something..hahahah. The trick is to take your time and try not to get distracted during the procedure..As a last mental thought... once I get back in the truck and set off... I always say to myself... " safety clip in...lines on... legs up... number plate on.
