Welcome to the roster 2201! Oh yeah, just an update about the dead locomotives 1701 has became a parts unit and 2303 is actually gonna come back to life and operate again! Me and my friend are gonna explore the deadline and take some parts from 1701. Well 1701 actually has a 50 50 percent chance of surviving it might come back to life and operate but im not sure. 1701 could become a parts unit so that they can use the parts for 1703. But welcome to the roster 2201!

Awesome update and roster addition! Love the backdrops. Your video on the argument on a mrr empire vs a shelf layout was superb. I agree: just get started. I built my Penn-Reading Industrial Division to fit my means of my limited space and it works great for me and so far, my ooerators!

What are you talking about the backdrop with the bridge and the water looks great, just add the water, you don't need to do anything with the backdrop, it looks great as is.

I certainly appreciate that. Maybe it's more noticeable in person... Personally if I just pushed on from here it'd probably drive me up a wall if I didn't fix it. Lol Thanks again for the kind words though. 😁

Don't cut the momentum! Idk what values you're running, but I doubt they're too high. The norm by far is that people don't like it, but if they're perusing prototype ops, they're hypocrites IMO. So, you'll generally see a disproportionate amount of momentum-haters. Keep up the good work showing how momentum can make an op so much more fun and challenging. Although if you're using a lot of deceleration (CV4), without a function brake, I can see that argument for halving. Forward acceleration though, probably doesn't need touched and doesn't actually apply to the common argument against momentum that "I want to be able to stop on a dime." I don't recall, do you use ProtoThrottles?
@FGLKPaul9 ай бұрын
Thanks Isaac! No proto throttles, I run ops off a Wi-Throttle server. As I've been thinking about things, I think my plan of attack is going to be to halve the braking, keep acceleration the same, but cap my top speed. Half the problem I ran into seemed to be guys not understanding that there was a delay when switching directions, and cranking the throttle up to max speed steps, and then taking off like a jet. 😂
@isaacfabris31799 ай бұрын
@@FGLKPaul Ahh, gotcha. That sounds like a great plan. I also cap my max speed -- 10mph for my lowly branchline. Momentum definitely takes some getting used to. I be sure to stress in my ops briefings that you have to really anticipate when you want to stop, but that's what makes it more fun to be an engineer in a 2-man crew. Alternatively you could enable the function brake (and give it a fairly effective value) to stop fairly quickly and keep the deceleration high so you can 'coast'. You can actually kind of get a poor-man's-ProtoThrottle effect by doing this -- label whichever Fx your BRAKE is in the WiThrottle and move it to the top of the Fx list, then set the throttle UI to +/- buttons with speedstep increments that coincide with each notch. That's what I did before I got my PT.

@@isaacfabris3179 certainly some really useful food for thought. I'll play around with it and see what I end up liking.
