New sci-fi just dropped - Scavenger's Reign

This is my initial thoughts on the new show Scavengers Reign. It's set to shots from the first three episodes and describes the show in general detail. Then I give my thoughts on the positives and negatives before wrapping it up. There is no rating for this because I want to finish the first season before I try to do that.

I absolutely love this show. Every frame looks like it could be a background and I love it. I also think that the characters not explaining things helps to put us in their situation, as they also don’t know how or why things work, they just know what they do. They also wouldn’t be trying to figure out how things work because they’re just trying to survive. Good show so far, 8/10

It was amazing experience and those colors were so nice like ghibli's but with modern stroke

The Moebius looking art from the trailer enticed me to check out the short they put out some years ago. The short somewhat killed my expectations. I thought they knew too much about how this new world works already and I didn't know if what was risked was worth what was gained.

I think it's not too fantastical just yet, the way the organisms interact is all pretty logical, if a bit baroque, but who's to say this strain of lifeforms doesn't go back even further than Earth life? That would account for the ecological complexity and extreme levels of symbiosis, and a human could fogure out a lot of those relationships just by observing how the critters do stuff.

Cayman's storyline is my favourite but also the one that makes my blood boil the most. The events from Charlie's perspective were horrifying.

Don't want to sound too low-brow, but... is there much action at all...? Am I watching this for action thrills or for cerebral stimulation...?

Cerebral stimulation. There is action, but its not your traditional anime fighting. There is some of that but so far the humans aren't that good at fighting. When they do kill something the focus is more on how brutal they appear to be.

Ah... not to be heavy... but you can't use the term "uninhabited" and then explain about the plants and animals! "Only inhabited by plants and animals" or "Uninhabited by humans with plants and animals." are how I've seen the words used to express what you meant. Look for an old Title "Warrior of the Wind" - should love seeing that movie!
